Second Day of Summer not so bad!!

Well, maybe the kids just needed one day to adjust to Summer vacation. Liam said to me this morning "Mom, I think today is going to be a good day." And it was. The kids played so good together. My prayers were answered...for one day at least. They sure do make a mess of the house though when they are getting along. Oh well, I don't mind cleaning it as long as they had fun.

My Catalogue Party went great tonight! We had fun!

Here is a card I made using the Artistic Etching stamp set...

The colour combo is Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla. The DSP is called Newsprint!

I'll have another card for you using this same set tomorrow!

I just wanted to take a moment to share with you that I customer and friend of mine, Marian Kloske, has lost her battle with cancer last night. Sadly, I did not get the chance to know her well, as she winters in Arizona. We we supposed to get together when she arrived back home in April...but was not doing well by then.
One of my downlines was close to her and she said about Marian in an email to me this evening..."She was such a smart, talented, wonderful cook and all round nice person. She fought the battle hard and always had a positive outlook." Marian was also a quilter and worked at a local quilting store in the past few years

I know that she will be missed by her friends and family. So to my customers and friends that knew Marian well, I'm very sorry for your loss.
Please say a prayer for Marian and her family.

Time is running out for the Last Chance Stamps and Accessories!

Just to let you know that time is almost up to get your last order in for the retiring items on the last chance list!

OMGoodness...I survived the day...the first day of Summer Vacation! It was a tough one, I'll tell you. Summer needs time to adjust to sharing Mommy again and Liam needs time to adjust to learning how to entertain himself. He is used to being at school where everything is planned out for him...and today he needed me to tell him what to do for fun. At 1pm today his buddy called and made a plan to come over. Then Liam was having the time of his life...minus his little sister wanting to get in on the fun. Poor Summer. She is having nap withdrawls...we are trying to get her ready for FULL TIME JK in the fall....and in case you didn't already know this I am opposed to this! She's too little to be at school everyday all day. So right now she is skipping her nap for two days then napping on the third day. She's doing ok. She actually falls asleep 5 min after we tuck her in. But then she's up at 6:30 in the morning! Thankfully she is not too grumpy about it all. That's my girl...easy going! I just feel like "they" are taking her away from me two years earlier then they were supposed to. Liam just started full time this past year. I'm stuggling. Sniff. Ok, moving on.

Now on to the FUN! I am having a New Catalogue Party tomorrow night! I hope that you'll come. I wanted to see what will be making and what you'll be missing out on if you don't come! Plus we'll be having ice cream and homemade cookies!! You know you want to!

This is the card we'll be making using the new stamp set called Artistic Etchings...

And this is some CARD CANDY I'll be giving away!

I used the stamp set called Perfect Punches from the new catalogue. There are two more stamps in the set then shown here. I love it! They all have a punch to match!!!

I also have lots of door prizes to give away...and as a special Thank You to those that do come I have a cardstock sampler of all the New Colour Collections!! (as if the getting the New Catalogue in your hands wasn't enough!!)

Hope to see you. Please drop me a line if your are planning on joining us...just so I can have your goodies ready for you!

Night, night!

Teachers Gift...

I was so excited to share this gift with Liam's teacher I couldn't wait until Friday to give it to her. So I finished up a couple of little things on it today and packaged it up the Stampin' Up! way...with a big pretty ribbon bow!!! She was so pleased when she saw it!

I have a few pic's of it...
This card is for his teacher.

There are 12 of this Thank You card for her to give to her friends and family.

These are her wedding colours, Old Olive, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla. I used the Elements of Style stamp set. The "Thank you" comes from the Pedaling Past Stamp set. I did add some half-backed pearls to all the cards in the box. I see I took this pic before I added them. Tee hee.

She is getting married on July 24, and today Liam and his classmates received their invitations to her wedding. Unfortunately, I'll be unable to go because I'll be at Convention. Maybe Jon will take the kids. I know Liam would love to go. He really cares about his teacher. She has been very sweet to him. Speacking of Liam, he received his report card yesterday....he'll be moving on to grade two in the fall! Not that we had any doubts, we are just very proud of him. He improved in all subjects, which is what they are supposed to be doing. Our little man even earned three A-'s!! Go Liam! One proud Momma here!!

I have more cards on the go today. Mr. Brown brought one of my new stamp sets today...so I've been playing with it. It's called "Friends Never Fade". True friends don't!...the ones that do fade...we'll they weren't very goods friends anyway.

So I'm off to get creative!! Wish me luck!
Have a fantastic night! Go get some of you own stampin' done!! Go on...get going!
And have fun!!

The Best Day!!

Yesterday I went with Liam on a class trip to the Children's Museum in London. So much fun! It is so amazing to see things through his eyes. There was so much to explore...he ran from here to there and back again! I had a group of four boys, 2 grade 1's and 2 grade 2's. Boy the sure have energy! Two of the boys in the group are brothers and their Dad was a chaperone with me as well. We were the only group to have two chaperones....and the only group with four boys!!! And boy did we need to two of us to keep up with these boys!!! Most of the pic's I took had other kiddies in the pic's and I cannot share them with out permission...but I was able to get a couple of Liam alone...I'd like to share with you...
Liam in the Space room...

Liam and the Inukshuk...
There was three floors of things to see. But way too many stairs!
I just love getting to spend the day with him alone...minus the 100 other kiddies around! I mean without Summer...no offense to her, but with two there is not alot of one on one time with him. I love to see how he interacts with his teacher and his classmates. He is very well mannered when speaking to others...I love that!

I will be back later to share a card...I just have to go and make one...or retake pic's of some. The SD card was full and I had to upload them to the main computer and deleted them off the SD card...so now I'll retake some pic's of cards to share with you.

I spent Sunday making a gift for Liam's teacher..it turned out great! I think she's going to love it! But the other day I shared my blog address with her and I don't want to ruin her surprize....so I'll take pic's of it today and share those on Friday.

I'll be back!

Great Night last night!!!

Wow! I'm very impressed with the man that is the Head of SU Canada! He is a very smart man and I happy that he is looking out for the Canadian Demonstrator...we are in very good hands! He is very interested in what we as demonstrators have to say, our suggestions for making SU Canada better for all demos. I learned lots! I am very honoured to have been invited to attend this small and intimate dinner meeting. It will be interesting to see in the future what changes comes from these small group meetings he has been holding. One important thing that I learned is that we as Canadians need to use our Suggestion Box for all our ideas and requests. This man personally reads them and makes certain the right person at SU Salt Lake get that information! So fellow demo's I urge you to use this business tool!

Well, it's Saturday night and I am signing off to finish watching a movie and have a glass of wine with my hubby. Poor guy has to work half a day tomorrow...on Father's Day.

Enjoy your night!

Big Night!!

Hello! I made up a couple of cards today....for two special people I'm meeting with tonight! One is my Fouth Level Upline, Maureen McGrail and the other is Dale Filmore...the Head of Stampin' Up! Canada!! I'm so honoured to be invited to dinner with the two of them as well as two other fellow demonstrators. So it's only right to make a card for the occassion...

The colours are Crumb Cake for the card base, Pear Pizzazz and Early Esspresso. The wordon the card is from the In a Word stamp set and the flowers are from the Watercolour Trio stamp set both from the Summer Mini.

I'm a little nervous about tonight! Wish me luck! (I hope I don't spill on myself!)

3D project...

I made these little 3D boxes for a door prizes for my downlines Open House. I used the Bitty Box and Envelope Bigz XL die to make them. Before I folded and glued the box, I ran it through the Big Shot in the new Vintage Envelope Embossing Folder. I only embossed the lid. So cute!

The colours are Early Espresso, Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz and Very Vanilla.

I am currently working on some new cards...I post those this week.
Have a great night!!

Sunday Fun Day!

What a great day...even though it's overcast...the kids and I had a great day. Poor Jon is working OT again this Sunday. The kids and I ventured out to the Animal Farm...Summer got bit on the finger by a Canadian Goose....the cows were mooooooing...they loved that! Fun times...and stinky too! I brought the camera with me and started taking pic's then realized after a dozen or so that I left the SD card in my laptop! Silly me! Then we went to the bridge for fries! Yum...if you aren't from Sarnia and you come to Sarnia (sorry technically it's in Point Edward) I highly recommend going to see the Bluewater Bridges and stoppin' in at Scotty's Fry Truck for the best fries ever! Well you can't go for fries and not go for ice cream...so the kids talked me into that one....wasn't too hard to do!! Now we are home and waiting for Jon to come home before we are off to my Mom and Dad's for dinner. My oldest brother and his family are here from outside of Chicago for a visit!
A little sad news though...Bailey, my parents' dog is not well, poor thing. The Vet is not sure if it's an inner ear thing or a brain tumor. Poor thing is walking sideways and falling over. She's not eating on her own or drinking...Dad's fingers are a little chewed up from feeding her. They have to get the meds into her to see if she'll get better.  She is 13 years old...a little toy poodle. My Mom and I picked her out brought her home...so she's kinda my dog too...but when I left home they were so attached to her they wouldn't let me take her. They said I could have visitation. Say a prayer for my Bailey girl, please.

Sorry, I don't mean to bring you down. On to what you came for!! The card...
This card uses almost all new products!! The card base is the new Marina Mist, the mat is Early Espresso, and the red mat is Cherry Cobbler (embossed with Perfect Polka Dots folder). The cool design is from Greenhouse Gala DSP that I just cut out. The stars are punch from Daffodil Delight yello and Pumpkin Pie cardstock and run through the Big Shot with the New Embossing Folder calles Vintage Wallpaper. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, which is a must have!!! And there is a tiny little knot of Marine Mist 1/8th Taffeta Ribbon to finish it off.

Last night my newest downline held her first Open House...she did a great job...very enjoyable! The card we made was adorable...a onesie card...I've never made before! I'll be making more of those!
I'd like to Thank the wonderful ladies that came out last night to support Vikki in new new adventure!

Did you know you can become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator right now for only $119 for the started kit? And you get Sneak Peek products in your kit from he upcoming 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalogue!!!
Mmmmhmmm!!!
Maybe tonight I'll get a chance to make something new!

Enjoy the rest of your day with your families!
Thanks for stoppin' in!
See you tomorrow!

I'm back!!!

So sorry I have not been posting! So busy with my BIG SALE! Thank you to everyone that place orders over the past week! I am so close to the Alaskan Cruise I can here the horn blowing my name!!!

I am back to post a cute card I dreamed up. Does that happen to you? You dream a card or project idea then can't wait to make it? This happens often to me. Some of my BEST projects come from a dream! I need to have my Inspiration Notebook beside my bed so that I can wake and jot it down. I don't think my husband would mind. Do you? Tee hee!
So I love the penny spinner card and I have had numerous requests to make this card at workshops and in clubs. Who doesn't love an interective card? I do. Little spinny things amuse me! So here is a new version of the penny spinner...are you ready for it? Can you handle the suspense? I know you can already see the card. But as I type the post the card is not there yet. I'm trying to build your suspense and excitement...well. do you love it? A double penny spinner!!!

The words are both from the Level 1 Hostess Stamp Set in the Summer Mini. It says "Take a moment...enjoy the journey". The turtle is from the Fox and Friends stamp set and the rabbit is from the Forest Friends stamp set. Get it? The Turtle and the Hare? Tee hee. I'm a dork, I know! The colours are Tempting Turquoise and Real Red cardstock and the Old Olive DSP is from the Island Oasis DSP in the Summer Mini.

Mr. Brown delivered a nice big box of goodies to me this week...all the Sneak Peek products from the New 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalogue (coming soon!). I earned all the new stamp pads (11) and markers (18) for FREE. You know how I love free!!! I've been playing with it all a little today. I have to say that one of my new favorite colours is Pear Pizzazz...a new In Colour. Did you know that SU is keeping the In Colours for two years now instead of just one? I'm very excited for that!
I'll have one of my new projects to share with you tomorrow.
Thank you for stoppin' in today.
Stay cool!

Inventory Time!

I've been very busy working on my stamp inventory! Wow, I didn't realize how many...until I started stamping them. I made an inventory book out of an On Board 8.5x8.5 Chipborad Album (on the retired list!! and don't forget to get some extra page protectors!) and decorated the cover up with a Sunny Days Simply Scrappin' Kit. So cute! But it sure was a lot of work. I took all the retiring sets out of my cupboard... to make more room for all the new sets in the new catalogue...cause the are beautiful and I want them all! So I started from the front of the new catalogue and stamped the sets from start to finish! I has taken hours to do over days. Now I want to do all my retired sets that I just can't part with! I ordered another album and scrappin' kit just for that!!
Why did I do all this??? Because it will make it so much easier to find my stamps...I know what sentiment I want to use but can't remember what set it is in! Now I'll know much quicker! And I won't have to get down on the floor to check the bottom shelves. I wished I'd done this from the beginning of my SU career...woundn't be so much work now! Oh well, now it will be done and I can just add the new sets as I get them and it win;t be quite so much work...unless....I but them all at once...just kidding...I have to keep reminding myself that this catalogue is good for a whole year!!
Have I told you that I'm going to Stampin' Up's Convention this year? I am so excited!!! It's in July in Slat Lake City, Utah. I've never been. I'm so excited!!! Oh, I said that already, hee hee. I get lots of free stamps sets there. They give us a bag of stuff, I hear. Can't wait...I've started counting down the weeks! I have never been on vacation by myself...you know, with out my hubby. Actually, except for Cuba in November...I've never actually had a vacation... but I have promised myself more vacations! Like Salt Lake City this Summer and Nashville in January and I'm really working to earn a cruise next May. Then I'll go back to Slat Lake City in July again...and you get the picture...I think a little down time is important...ok, I don't know how much relaxing I'll be doing but I know it will be tons of fun and stampin' and laughing. Can't wait!!

I'm sorry I gone on and on and at the end of all my ramblings I don't even have a card to share with you. I went down to my studio tonight at one point to take some pic's then I got side tracked...I forgot where I left my camera and forgot why I got side tracted until I found the carmera in the basement bathroom! That's not why...you're gross...I had to get Summer out of the shower and get her dressed and then off to bed...you know how that goes...and you don't get back to what you were going to do for like hours...sometimes even days! Well the camera is still in the bathroom...I promise to take it out when I go down in the morning to do the wash. Then I'll take some pic's!!!

Thanks for stoppin' in. Happy Stampin'...Or should I say sweet dreams...I didn't realize how late it was...it's already tomorrow!

Jodi

P.S. Only 3 day left to get all you SU products at 50% off....refer to May 28th post for all the details! Sale ends Friday!

I wished Sunday would never end!

I love a Sunday at home. I love Sunday dinner at my Mom's! Remember when Sundays were family days? I wish we could go back to those days when everything was closed on Sundays. I had the day off but my hubby had to work : ( . So I got some Sping cleaning done! And played games with the kids and when Jon came home we went to my Mom's for Sunday dinner...mmmmm!

I think I spent about 15 minutes in my studio today. I didn't get much accomplished. So I have a card for you that we'll be making in club this month.

I used a stencil on this card. It is called Folk Flowers. I used the Square Lattice Emboss Folder to texture the paper first then sponged on some colours! So cool!

Guess where I'm going right now!!! Hubby's going to bed!! The kids aren't even asleep yet and he is so tired he was already asleep on the couch...snoring!
I off to scrap!
Have a great night and Thanks for stopping in!

A Birthday card for my Friend...

It was my good friends' Birthday this week. We got together to scrap a little. I made her this card. Her favorite colour is blue...so I use one of the Retiring Blues...blue-hoo, we are both sad it are retiring!

Love the card!
I used the Watercolour Trio stamp set from the Summer Mini and Wings of Friendship (Hostess Level 2) stamp set for the sentiment. The colours are Ballet Blue (retiring) and Bashful Blue (not retiring). I stamped the flower image in Old Olive on Whisper White CS then ran it thru the Big Shot with the New Square Lattice Embossing Folder. A little Whisper White taffeta ribbon and a Bashful Blue button and it's finished!!!
(FYI - the Playgroung Buttons and the Sherbert Buttons are on the retiring list for $5.48 (50% off)...and the Latte Buttons are on the retiring list for 25% off...plus you can get another 50% off that price with my sale!!! Great deal!!!)

I have some great cards to share with you...

I had my Tuesday Night Club last night. We did something a little different this time. We did a "mystery card". I cut supplies for two cards...exactly the same supplies...the girls had to design their own card with the supplies for one card and a tote of the same products I used on my cards. When they were finished their card they got to see my card - the mystery card - and replicate it if they wanted to or make someone elses card. So they let me take pic's of their beautiful cards to post on my blog. They all did a fantastic job!!!
Card 1 is by Donna H.
Card 2 is by Joanne D.
Card 3 is by Yvonne D.
Card 4 is by Gail M.
Card 5 is by Vikki J.
I think they did a wonderful job! I hope they like the mystery card idea.
We might just do it again in the future!
My card was posted on May 29th.

Busy today organizing my studio...now that I know what is retiring I can take them out of the cabinet to make room for more!!! Now I have a more stamp sets to add to my collection of stamps that will be for sale at "My Retired Stuff Sale" in July...more details to come!!!
Have a great night!!!
