Quit Monkeying around....

You know I love the little monkey in the Fox and Friends stamp set...so I made another card with this adorable little monkey. Okay, I feel bad leaving out his friends, so I gave him some friends to play with in this one...
I love, love, love this colour combination...Card base is Kraft (soon to be renamed Crumb Cake), the mat is Baja Breeze, and I stamped on Very Vanilla. I stamped my little Monkey friend and his friend Mr. Lion in Sahara Sand, and the Wise Old Owl and Mr. Happy Whale in Baja Breeze.

This is one of the cards that we made in my class last night. I have a club member who is having a Sisters Weekend, so we set up a class for her and her three sisters. What a wonderful group of women!
Lovely, and funny! I truly enjoyed their company!

Sisters facinate me....I have three brothers. It was interesting to listen to them....one sister would be about to stamp and two sisters - at the same time - would give instruction...saying the exact same words! They'd say "Did you get that - in Stereo?". Then they'd all laugh. One time, three of them said the exact same sentence....they laughed again....then said "Did you get that - in Stereo?"...then the youngest sister giggled and said "no, in Surround Sound!!!"

A very enjoyable evening. I hope that they will come back on their next Sisters Weekend!

Too funny!!!! I just saw that I already posted this Monkey card!!!!
Can you tell I love it!!!

Okay here is another card we did last night!!!

Now that you've a good giggle...have a great Saturday!!!

Mr.Brown came!!!

But he made me wait most of the day!!! I left to get Liam from school and Mr. Brown came while I was away!

I'm so excited! This catalogue is fantastic...you are gonna love it!!! I CANNOT share any part of it online....not what is staying, what is going, what is new, or pricing. But I CAN tell you it is amazing!!!  I love Stampin' Up!, did you know? What's that? I haven't said it enought? Really? Ok then.....I LOVE SU! I LOVE SU! I LOVE SU! There, how was that? I love the samples in this catalogue...the artwork is amazing!!! Okay, I'm sorry, you must be so jealous now. I'm not being very nice, am I? Well I won't talk about it anymore. I'll keep it to myself...I might just explode though. What a mess that would be! I better put the catalogue away so that I don't get it messy!! Sorry, I talked about it again, didn't I? I just said I wouldn't. I'd better go then...and drool over my catalogue again before I go to bed. OMG, again! Okay. I'm done. Good night!

Thanks for stopping in!

It's Christmas in May!!!!

My 2010/2011 Catalogue is coming today!!!! I earned an early Sneak Peek!!! It feels like I'm a child on Christmas Eve!! I have butterflies in my tummy...I'm so excited!!I know it sounds crazy!

This is one of the many great things about being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. All the perks. This was one great perk!

So you know where I'll be today...stalking Mr. Brown!!! I think Summer will enjoy the day riding her bike while I watch for every dark vehicle coming down the street....holding my breath with each passing car! I promise to try really hard and not tackle my Mr.Brown!!

Hey, if you want to get these kinda perks from SU too, I'm holding an Opportunity Event tonight here at my house. Come get your questions answered. You might even get a sneak peek of my new catalogue.

Have a great day!!!! I know I will!!!

My New Blog Header....

I played with My Digial Studio (MDS) last night while the kids watched their movie. I was inspired by a MDS Scrapbook page designed by Heather S. I wish I had more time to do the digital scrapbooking...it is really fun.

The next project is really fun too. I bought Stampin' Up!'s raw vinyl...for the Decor Elements (you can purchase it at my online store. Comes in lots of colours! The vinyl that I use is the chalkboard vinyl...really! You can make your own chalkboards! Image how fun it would be for the kids to have a place on their bedroom wall that they are actually allowed to draw on! I used a page from the On Board Chipboard Heart Album...sadly they are no longer available but I had some left over....in the Summer Mini there are two new ones...check that out. I'm working on a second one...maybe I can finish today! So here it is...
I used some of the Sweet Pea Felt Flowers too. I need to get some chaulk! This would make a great welcome sign...or on my front door so that Mr. Brown will use the side door! The usual Mr. Brown comes to the side door...but now that summer is coming he takes vacation and the new Mr. Brown (I even had a Miss Brown) comes to the front door. If I'm in my studio I can't hear the front door.
Then they pound and pound and wake Miss Summer from her nap!

Well, we are off to my friends' trailer for the day...hopefully the rain has stopped for the day!

I had an idea! Do you have a lot of scraping stuff that you don't use anymore? So much paper that you'll never use? How about I hold a garage sale....in my studio....where you can sell your stuff. I have a ton of none-SU product that I won't use again...but someone might! Contact me if you are interested in being a seller. I'll have more details for the garage sale later on.

P.S. Just to let you know the Only Orange and Sage Shadow cardstock is out of stock and therefore discontinued. I have an order going in this weekend if you have some cardstock or ink refills you still need. They are going fast...once they are gone...there gone!

Have a great Saturday afternoon,
Jodi

Happy Friday!!!

It's Friday again! So I got a little time today to make some cards. I had a friend ask me to make a couple of Thank you cards...her Mom asked her to make them then she asked me! I also made a card for my niece....we are having a family birthday party for her on the weekend.

This first one is the birthday card...a little inspired by Heather S.
I used a white card base then Pink Pirouette (whoo hoo! it's coming back!) mat, then a Barely Banana (i'm sad to see this one go) card front. I punched circles with a bunch of different sized circle punches out of textured Barely Banana cardstock. The cake image is from the Hostess Level 1 stamp set in the Summer Mini (so cute!) I punched a Scalloped Circle in Regal Rose and curled the scallops. Then I did a pretty little ribbon detail with Pretty in Pink 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon. I finished the card off with a Itty Bitty Button (clear) with Soft Suede punched piece to match the button shape using the Punch pack in the Summer Mini.

This next one is a Feminine Thank you card that my friend requested...

I used the Cottage Wall DSP as my colour imspiration...the card base is Rich Razzleberry, then an Old Olive mat, next a pretty flowered piece of Designer Series Paper (aka. DSP). I used another Level 1 Hostess stamp set called Of the Earth. I love this stamp...the butterfly...so cute! I love this way of doing the ribbon. Can you tell?

And for my final card, a masculine Thank you...masculine cards sometimes stump me. Again I took my inspiration from the DSP. This is the new DSP form the Summer Mini called Travel Journal. A little Pumpkin Pie Striped Ribbon, a vintage tag and a stamped car. Simple.

I hope that you like them. I should learn to share one at a time then I would have something to post tomorrow...I guess I'll have to sneek away tonight during the kids movie, tee hee! (it's hard to watch the same kids movie over and over and over and over again!)

Enjoy your Friday night!!

Wow, 9 Years married...where does the time go?

9 years ago today, on a beautiful day just like this, I married my best friend! Today he is still my best friend. He has given me two wonderful, healthy and happy children, a wonderful home to call our own and has given me tremendous love and support in everything that I do. I am blessed.

I have a very large French Canadian family...you know they used to have lots of children...my Dad is one of nine, and my Mom (not French) is one of 5. So my family alone was 92 people on our wedding guest...and that wasn't even all of my cousins. My husbands family was all of 16 people and that included all the cousins! I forget where I was going with all this...oh, and a lot of my family needed to travel here for our wedding...so we picked the May long weekend. It is a very popular date for weddings in my family. We got married on my in-laws 28th Wedding Anniversary (19th) and my parents were married on the 22nd of May (so their 30th Wedding Anniversary)! And then after I joined SU I found out that my Upline and her husband got married on the same exact day as us...we had our wedding at Sawmill Creek Golf and Country Club and they got married at the Riding Club. They were the two most beautiful places to get married.
So Happy Anniversary to my wonderful parents, my in-laws, and to Mary Beth and Shawn Phillips!!! And of course to my sweet husband, Jon!!! I look forward to the years ahead...watching our children grow and holding your hand while doing it. Next year is a big one! Maybe we can plan a trip away...maybe I can earn the SU incentive trip and take my husband away! Wouldn't that be awsome? To treat my hard working husband on a trip that I earned? Whoo Hoo! I'm sure going to try!!

I've had an hour today to spend on making Annivesary cards...the first is for my in-laws.

I used some colours that are coming back...I'm very excited about that! The card base is River Rock, the mat is Soft Suede put though the Big Shot and embossed with the New Square Lattice Emboss Folder, then next mat is Regal Rose and then Pink Pirouette (coming back!!!). I even dared to be messy and used a little Dazzling Diamonds (just for you Alicia R). I used the Watercolour Trio Stamp Set (Summer Mini).

For this next card, for my hubby, I tried to do masculine for him. I used two stamp sets from the Summer Mini...the first being Pedalling Past and the second, In a Word. I used the new Travel Journal DSP and two Smooch Spritz's - Log Cabin and Vanilla. I think it need something else but I could find a stamp set I was thinking of...well, he loves it anyway!!!

I love the bicycle built for two! It means we are in this together!! The more I use the Smooch Spritz the more I love it! I have some more ideas but they'll have to wait..we have another night at the soccer field tonight!
Liam's first game of the season.
Liam has Instruction Soccer on Monday's, Summer has League game on Tuesday and then Liam has house League game on Wednesdays and Jon has soccer games on Tuesday and Thursdays (I think!)...I think I am what you call a "Soccer Mom" now!!!
Maybe we can find some time to get away for a quiet anniversary dinner sometime on the weekend!
Have a great night!

Thanks for stopping in!

Ta Da!!!

I'm so excited to share with you the 3D project I'd been working on this week and swapped at my meeting. I'm so excited about how well it turned out.

I've sent this one in for a contest...here's hoping SU loves it too!

My hubby pick up some strawberries bigger than these!
I think we'll be having Strawberries and Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert tonight.
Have a Sweet Sunday!!!

Take care,
Jodi

Here's one of my many penny spinners...

I just love these cards...the penny spinner...you can put anything on the spinning piece...the possibilities are truly endless. I managed to take some photos for you. These are cards I made some time ago..I haven't made one in awhile...but on Sunday we are making these in my workshop!

I'm finally all finished my swaps...24 cards and nine 3D objects! I've been working like mad on them. But they turned out even better then I'd hoped. I can't wait to share them with you. I hope to post them on Sunday.
Tonight I get to go to work.... UGG! And tomorrow is my All-Day meeting in London...sooooo excited, and Sunday, my workshop...Monday, my very own downline meeting!!! Busy, busy...you know how that goes. And to top it all off Summer is now fevered! Poor girl! At least we know what to expect as Liam had this last week. I am hoping that what I'm feeling is just "tired" and that I'm not coming down with this Flu too! I have no time to be sick...and with kids not allowed to really rest like I'd need too! No rest for the sick Mommies of the world!!!
I hope that you enjoy the penny spinners!!! Be back on Sunday!

M.I.A.....sorry!

Hi there. Sorry I've been missing in action lately...I am so busy working on swaps for a big meeting...I can't show you yet! You are going to love it...them! Just last night I decided to join the 3D swap...silly me...I always put myself in this situation...too much to do...not enough time! Wish me luck....I'll try to post a card tomorrow.

I'm holding a workshop on Sunday afternoon...anyone interested? Our make and take will be the Penny Spinner...I love those...so fun! Maybe I'll post some of my penny spinners tomorrow for you to see.

Have a great night...what's left of it! I off to bed...I ache all over. I've been scrappin' literally since 10am this morning!

Filling Orders....This is a serious situation....

Stampin' Up! is trying their best to make everyone happy! I just want to make it very clear that if there are reinkers that you need then you really need to get that order in...or you will miss out. The demand for retiring reinkers, cardstock and markers has been four times greater then what the expected. They are working hard to keep the promise of having these product available until the end of May. So don't delay...I really don't want youto be unhappy because you couldn't get the retiring colour products you want.

I'll be back with a card post later today...right now I get to go out into the rain! Summer is playing her first soccer game tonight and she need soccer shoes! Nothing like leaving it to the last minute! And there is nothing as miserable as playing soccer in the ran...so cold! So please pray for me that the rain stops by 5pm tonight!!!

Mother's Day Card for my MIL...

Here is the card I made for my Mother-in-law...
She loved the card!!!
Have a good night!

Ink Pads Refills and Cardstock...

The 29 colours that are retiring are on a limited time offering. Ink pads and reinkers are guaranteed available until the end of May and then they will be first come, first serve. However, they have experienced a HUGE overwhelming response to some of the colours that are retiring in cardstock. Replenishing cardstock is a bit more complicated so SU has apologized that it may not all last until the end of May. If they should run out of a colour, you may receive a 24 package of the cardstock in textured (at no extra cost...BONUS!) If they do run out completely, they will let both the demonstrators and customers know. If there are any of the retiring colours that you really love and would be sad to not have, I do encourage you to place an order (either through me, my online store).

Also, click here to see the product that are carrying over to the 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalogue from previous Mini Catalogue...and currently still available for order.

I'll be back later with a card!

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope that you are all enjoying this Mother's Day with your children and your Mom's.
I was spoiled with pancakes made from scratch by my husband and children. They were so yummy! My husdans went out this morning before the rest of us were awake to pick up cream puff's! If you don't go early to get them....they're gone! It's a special treat!

Yesterday we went to a Birthday party for one of my husbands Uncles. He turned 60 on Friday. His uncle got the best gift too....one of his daughter's was on her way to the party from out of town....her water broke in the car and they had to go back and check into the hospital...she had a healthy baby boy!We had so much fun!!! My husband has two teenaged male cousins...and for a very long time when they get together they always wrestle and stuff...(my husband is 36 and thinks he is still a teenager sometimes!!!)...well this time was no different...there were balloons...lots of them...so, of coarse, there were balloon fights!!! So fun to watch...lots of laughs. My kids made friends with other kiddies and they had balloon fights too! The food was great....good times.

Here is the card I made for his uncle....inspired by Sharon L. Field....

I used the Lovely as a Tree stamp set, En Francais background stamp, and Teeny Tiny Sentiments. I stamped the tree in watercolour paper using an Old Olive and Chocolate Chip marker. Then I gently went over the ink with a blender pen and then added a little Always Artichoke ink with the blender pen to add some shadows. The card base is More Mustard. The mat is Bravo Burgandy and then Old Olive and Kraft. The brown piece is Soft Suede and I put it the the Big Shot in the new Square Lattice Embossing folder then dabbed a bit of Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint (still available) to give it a little sparkle! I used a More Mustard button with a little string bow as a finishing touch! I really like the way this card turned out. I think I might change it up an bit and use it as my second swap card for my meeting next Saturday!!! (I'm so looking forward too!)
Well, I have a lot of cards to get working on...and I think I get to escape to my studio for awhile today!
Enjoy the day!!!

My Digital Studio...

I have had Stampin' Up!'s My Digital Studio (MDS) for awhile now...I really enjoy it...but like most things I don't have much time to play with it. I use it to create my blog header...like it? I have taken the training to be Certified in MDS. If you are interested in finding out more about it...let me know. I am doing a training session next week to show a customer all the great things you can do with this awesome program....Scrapbooks, Calendars and cards too. Stampin' Up also has a professional printer to print you beautiful creations. They will print you pages for scrapbooks or they'll print you cards...like all those Christmas cards, shower invitations, and personalized calendars!!! They will make your scrapbook into a glossy page bound book! Makes a very nice gift!

Here is a card I had printed....and gave to my Hubby....
The colours I used are Basic Black and Baja Breeze. By having Stampin' Up!'s professional printers print your projects they guarantee the colours will be exact.

PD Day today! With Liam sick and off school all week I had forgotten that today was a PD Day....Thank you Rosemary for reminding me yesterday...it was nice to sleep in a little this morning!
Liam is feeling just fine now. Just the Flu they said. Ears, nose and throat all clear. Sure can tell he's feeling better...agruing with his sister again...all is back to normal in the Kutz household!!!

Try and enjoy the rainy day! Rainy days make great srappin' days! I'm going to get some creating done!
Thanks for stoppin' in!

Check out the Stampin' Up Clearance Rack!

Great deals there!!! Especially the Retired Pewter Hodgepodge hardware! You don't want to miss out on this deal!
Click here to see. Make yourself a profile and shop from my site with your CC...or Email me your order and I'll put it in for you!

I'll be taking Liam to the doc' in the morning...still not feeling better, poor little guy!

Scrapbooking!!!

May is National Scrapbooking Month!! Since I started with Stampin' Up! I have been cardmaking...not so much Scrapbooking....a 12x12 page scares me after working on cards. So I have been working on some 6x6 scrapbook pages and I'm loving it! Here are a couple that we did in my club last night...
This is a picture I took of the kids on Friday night as Summer was opening her Birthday presents.
Oh, aren't they sweet!
I used the "Elements of Style" stamp set...my new fav! And the new Vintage Tags with the Rough Type alphabet. I stamped and "L" for Liam on one side and an "S" for Summer on the other. I am working on a progressive page....which means this is a 6x6 page and I am working on "growing" it into an 8x8 page. Then I'll grow it into a 12x12 page. This makes the 12x12 page much less daunting. A 12x12 page is a lot of space to scrap! I will post it when it's finished. Did I mention how I love 6x6 pages...so quick and easy! You really should try it!
I have another page I'd like to share but I just realized that the pic is of Summer and my niece. So I should get my brothers' permission to post it first.

I am holding a Mother's Day Class tomorrow night that I need to be getting ready for. I haven't posted a pic of it because I think I'll be sending it in for a SU contest! I have 3 seats open if you wanna come! I promise you'll love the project...with matching card and a little something extra too!

Liam is home again today but I must say that he is looking better to me...still a low grade fever but not the complaining of yesterday! Maybe tonight he'll be fine and will be back to school tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping in! Enjoy this nice and sunny day!

Have you seen the New Summer Mini yet?

Click on the Summer Mini on the left hand side and check out the awesome new goodies from Stampin' Up!

I'll be back tomorrow with a pic. Poor Liam is still sick...fevered since Thursday. Stayed home from school today...but tomorrow he is to sing in a music festival....I sang in it when I was young! Jon even took a day off to go and hear him sing. So we'll see how he is feeling in the morning. Fingers crossed.

Enjoy the mini! See you tomorrow. 'Night.

Sunday, May 2, 2010

Hello!

Well, we survived the birthday weekend...but just barely ; ) . Summer enjoyed her party. The girls stamped a card for their Mom's for Mother's Day...played dress-up...so cute...and they all got along...much more quiet than the boys at Liams' party!

Here is a card that I made with a swap in mind....I'm thinking that I'll make some changes though....
I'll show you my revised card once I get it finished. I'm off to work today. Jon is working again...Liam is still sick and fevered...and Summer is stuffy! I don't like leaving them when they are sick...but what can you do?

Enjoy the day with your families!!!
