"A Year of Memories" Scrapbook started!!!

So this is what I have been busy working on....My "Year of Memories" Scrapbook"! So I made scrapbooks of my kidlets every year to give as gifts to my parents, in-laws and my brother-in-law and his wife. And this year I decided I wanted one for myself. Now I am making 4! I have the 4 of my title page finished and the pieces cut for the Dec 2009 and Jan 2010 layouts but only one of each finished! I am hoping to work on them on the night of this Scrapbook Class!

So here they are...
This is Christmas morning 2009. They kids were so excited! This was the first year that Summer really "got" it. When we just had Liam my parents would spend Christmas morning with us...but now there are lots of grand children and two of my three brothers live out of town...my parents are usually busy with one of my brothers visiting homw or visiting one of my brothers out of town :( .SO I know that they'll love these pictures of moments they missed.

January fun! My birthday is in January so the top left pic was just after the kids and hubby sang Happy Birthday to me. My hubby made my birthday dessert! It wasn't cake either. This sweetie made me a peanut butter cheesecake with oreo cookie crust...OMGoodness it was awesome...Jon you rock!
Next pic's are Liam and Summer skating...Summer's first time!! and the next page is one morning that Liam was in school and it was just SUmmer and I home...sniff, sniff....she was out in the snow. I was taking secret pic's of her thru the window....then I saw her eating the snow off her mittens....I went out to offer her a snack but she said that the snow would do!

There are 8x8 pages. I always use wallet sized photo's that I print myself...so that I can put 3-4 pic's per page. I choose my favorite pic's of the kids and whatever the may have done that month.

So these will be the first pages we'll be making in my "A Year of Memories" Scrapbook Class (class 1 of 4). By early December, when the last class will be...you'll have a completed 8x8 Year of Memories Scrapbook...and I'll have 4! Whoo hooo.....I am so excited for this class. Not sure who to make one for?....keep it for yourself... or make it for the grandparents...or the family member that lives out of town! You'll be so happy that you did it! A completed scrapbook!!!! How many do you have that are "not completed" or "a work in progress"????? The class starts later in September....contact me fo rmore details!

Have a great long weekend!
We are actually off to my in-laws End-of Summer pool party! Crazy because it is cold here today! He says the water is warm....yeah, that's because the air is so cold! I'm not going in!
I get to watch and be the life guard!

Scrapbooking!!!

May is National Scrapbooking Month!! Since I started with Stampin' Up! I have been cardmaking...not so much Scrapbooking....a 12x12 page scares me after working on cards. So I have been working on some 6x6 scrapbook pages and I'm loving it! Here are a couple that we did in my club last night...
This is a picture I took of the kids on Friday night as Summer was opening her Birthday presents.
Oh, aren't they sweet!
I used the "Elements of Style" stamp set...my new fav! And the new Vintage Tags with the Rough Type alphabet. I stamped and "L" for Liam on one side and an "S" for Summer on the other. I am working on a progressive page....which means this is a 6x6 page and I am working on "growing" it into an 8x8 page. Then I'll grow it into a 12x12 page. This makes the 12x12 page much less daunting. A 12x12 page is a lot of space to scrap! I will post it when it's finished. Did I mention how I love 6x6 pages...so quick and easy! You really should try it!
I have another page I'd like to share but I just realized that the pic is of Summer and my niece. So I should get my brothers' permission to post it first.

I am holding a Mother's Day Class tomorrow night that I need to be getting ready for. I haven't posted a pic of it because I think I'll be sending it in for a SU contest! I have 3 seats open if you wanna come! I promise you'll love the project...with matching card and a little something extra too!

Liam is home again today but I must say that he is looking better to me...still a low grade fever but not the complaining of yesterday! Maybe tonight he'll be fine and will be back to school tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping in! Enjoy this nice and sunny day!

It's Wednesday!!!!

Wow, the days go by so fast! It's already Wednesday. It's been a very good day and I got alot accomplished so far. Yay! I had to finish up a dozen cards for the girls from last night...there is never truly enough time to get all those cards done. So I offered to get the cards finished for them today. I also designed three 6x6 pages for club and I designed a card for a swap I signed up for, for a big meeting in London, Ont. I put my name in to do two swaps...12 cards for each group. 24 cards! That's alot! I will get back 11 different cards from each group....beautiful samples from other wonderfully talented demonstrators! I can't wait to see them.
My team has grown since the last quarterly meeting in London. I am very excited for my new girls to experience one of these meetings. The meetings are inspiring and motivating...just what a meeting should be! We really shouldn't call them meetings though....we should call them PLAY DATES!!! I think we called them meetings just to make our Hubbies think that it is about business in the business sort of way!!!! What could be more fun then getting together with a bunch of gals that are loving doing the same thing you are? Did I mention I'm going to the SU Convention in July????  I am soooooo excited for that! Over 3000 women will be there....and our fellow Americans get even more excited!!!  Have you seen them on Oprah when she has her Farvorite Things giveaway??? Well, that's about as excited as the demonstrstors get at convention....I've seen the vidio!!! I went to a Regional Seminar in London, Ont last year and the SU people say that  us Canadians are laid back! I guess we'll see!
Today I am sharing a scrapbook page of my most adorable son, Liam. On his 7th birthday he wanted McDonalds for supper. He also wanted to have his first BIG MAC! He usually gets the Happy Meal with a hamburger dressed like a Big Mac. But now that he is 7...he thinks he's big enough to eat a whole Big Mac. Well, we got him one and as you can tell he thoroughly enjoyed it! And he ate the whole thing!!! I couldn't resist getting the carmera! I'm so glad I did.
Sorry the pic is kinda wonky!
I'm trying new colour combos. Now that we have 29 colours retiring I'm trying to use them up. I have a 5 inch stack of cardstock to use. And that's just the 8.5x11 cs.
I thought these colours worked well for a boy page.

Okay dinner is in the oven, dessert is in the fridge, Jon is at the dentist, and Liam and Summer are going out in the backyard to play...I think I'll take my coffee down to my studio and get to work....I just comitted to another swap for a different meeting and I have an idea....gotta run!

Have an enjoyable night with your families!
