Loving these new products!!

Loving the colours, the ribbons, the brads, the new Framlits.....love it all!

I know I have been missing in action for a long time...here's why.

In June I got a new job, On Call Client Service Coordinator for Bayshore Home Health. I worked evenings and every other weekend. Honestly, it was awful. After I got the kids off to school I had the day to myself, which was great to have that time to myself, got A LOT of STAMPING done. Then at 2pm I would have to stop and get showered and dressed for work and go get the kiddies from school, once home make a coffee, kiss my hubby as he walked in the door then off to work I go. I would not get home until 8pm when the kiddies where in bed and my hubby usually asleep on the couch. Then spend a couple of hours by myself again because everyone in the house was sleeping. And I worked every other weekend. I missed out on a lot. Hubby was stressed doing it all by himself all weekend long. It was awful because I was spending all my free time alone - while my kids were in school, and my hubby was working, I was home....and when they were home I was working.

So I put in lots of time, picked up extra shifts in the office for reception and coordinating, sometimes only having one day off a week. It was hard on everyone, and made me SAD a lot. I missed them and the fun things they were doing, without me.

Then positions in the office became open. I applied. In December I was hired for the Full time Receptionist position.

Now I am HOME in the evenings and EVERY weekend spending time with my family and working when they are in school and when my hubby is working.

Now I am HAPPY!!

This is the first full time permanent position I have ever had. For 8 long years I have worked part time evening and weekends. It was great for a long time because it allowed me to be home with my kids when they were little and they didn't have to go to daycare. But now that they are in school full time, it was silly me being here at home by myself through the day and leaving when they got home from school.

I feel very blessed to have time with my family!

The ONLY sad part is that I have less time to stamp. So now I will work on BALANCE in my life. Balancing my free time for stamping and time with my family....and that's OK with me. I love having the choice about what to do with my free time.

It has been had to see my SU business not doing as well. It has been on the back burner for awhile. I miss all my Stampin' Friends! It really is my social time. I never stopped holding club nights, but I did stop offering classes. I took the month of December odd from SU. The first break I've taken from SU in almost 4 years. I did not even offer Christmas Stamp-a-stacks this year. I struggled with the guilt of that because I think I let a lot of customers down. But I had to take a step back and slow down.

January...a new year begins. I am holding Club on Jan 24th and I am excited to see every one again. Excited to share all these beautiful new products!

Beautiful Retirement....

I was asked to make a retirement card for a women at work, so I cased this beautiful card by Renne Van Stralen, WOW she does beautiful work!!

I used a Hostess Set called Simply Soft. The colours are Crumb Cake (card base), Early Espresso, Baja Breeze and Whisper White and a little Sahara Sand for antiquing. The polka dot designer paper is from the Pocketful of Posies DSP. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. And finally the Embossed oval is from the Designer Frames embossing folders set. Love those!!

I hope that you are getting in some stampin time of your own, I know for me it has been hard. We have been short staffed at work and I for one have been working too many hours to help out...it definately cuts into my stampin time!

Bright Hopes...

This is the name of the stamp set I used on this lovely Christmas Card...

I love this colour combination...it's very striking...Basic Gray and Brushed Silver and Cherry Cobbler. It might be a little hard to tell in this photo that the tree image has BLING all over the tree. The sentiment comes from a Stamp Set called Come to Bethlehem...I love the scripted font! I am thinking this might just be THE card that I will send out to our family and friend this Christmas season. But this is only the first Christmas stamp set I have used so far, I have others that are anxiously awaiting their turn to be inked.

So I thought this was kinda cool, I got an email last night from Tiffany Bauer, an impressive a Stamping Up! Demonstrator. She will be featuring my Gently Falling leaves card I post last Saturday on her blog:

My oldest brother is getting married next month...so exciting!! I went shopping yesterday and found a BEAUTIFUL dress. It's black and purple. And I found a lovely black and purple coat to match (Lucky find...on sale for half price!!) This dress is so comfortable too! Silly, I know, but it is nice to be comfortable. Now I just have to find comfortable shoes...not likely!!

I have the kids painting some Plaster Christmas Ornaments right now, they are quiet and getting along wonderfully! Knock on wood!! I think that this is my que to head downstairs and get some stamping done!

Gently Falling...

I received this beautiful stamp set from Stampin' Up!, it's called Gently Falling. It's a two step stamp...love it!! The saying is from the stamp set called Petite Pairs...a new favorite. It has a saying for the front of the card and one for the inside as well, it covers all kinds of occasions!

The DSP I used is called Spice Cake, I love the colours in this paper. I used some new ribbon, More Mustard Scalloped Edge Polka Dot grosgrain Ribbon. I cut the piece of ribbon in half down the middle to save on ribbon, then I added a strip of Sticky Strip down the edge of the DSP on the back side and added the ribbon so that only the pretty little scallop showed.

Well, I guess I better put the stamps down and get moving! I sent my husband and the kiddies off to the in-laws for a swim. I told them I'd met them there after I got some stampin' done. But can you ever really be done stampin'? Never! I have been working so much that I have not had much time stampin'. I am actually working on getting my next stamp club cards ready and it's not till the 13th, and if you know me I never get things done early!! But I don't have a choice. I will mostly be working from now until then.

Liam starts school on Tuesday, Grade 3!! Wow! And Miss Summer starts on Thursday, SK! They are so ready!! I'm not. I really do love having them home, even though there are days when they drive me crazy...but only because they are bored, so we find something fun to do and they're better!

Ok, I said I was going, going swimming!! Better move my tushy.

Club Cards....

also we made the 50th Birthday from the previous post.

Sorry it's a quick post. I am exhausted but cannot sleep. My Dad is in the hospital tonight. He went to help my brother (that lives in McHernry, Illinois, the other side of Chicago) remove a tree that had fallen on his house. Well, Dad fell off the roof and has a fractured pelvis. He did not want to be admitted to a hospital in the US so my brother drove him back home (6 hour drive that they had just done the night before) to be admitted early this morning. He is bumped and bruised and in some pain. There was some internal bleeding has that has stopped and he will not need surgery. Crazy man is 63 yrs old but thinks he is invincible....you'd think by now he's have outgrown that notion!

Please keep my my in your thoughts.

I have cards to share!!

I have been busy but making time for stampin' too! I was commissioned to make a few Birthday cards for a customer. These first three are for her....

And this little sweetie is something I just finished. I used the NEW Petite Pocket die! I love this die!

The Stamp Set is called Kindness Matters. These three beautiful butterflies are one stamp, except they line up horizontally. I used a Soft Suede marker and my favorite tool, the Stamp-a-ma-jig, to get the butterflies lined up vertically. The colours I used are Crumb Cake, the dark blue is a New In Colour called Island Indigo, and the lighter blue is call Pool Party, also an New In Colour! Love them!!

I have been very busy stampin' Wedding Invitations too. My oldest brother is getting married in October. So my Mom offered our services making the invitations! They need 120 of them. I have lots to do, but I have made a good dent in the work. I will post those soon. I am heat embossing a red rose.....120 of them. I think I have 45 done. I am using Cherry Cobbler Craft Ink and Clear Embossing powder....the colour is so rich and it is exactly the colour of red as the bridesmaids dresses.

That's the name of this cute stamp set! I was so lucky to get this one on the Stampin' Up! Incentive Cruise. I played with it right away when I got home. I have not been able to share this card with you until now....do you know why?? Because the NEW 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalogue is LIVE!! If you want your copy, call me!!

Although when I created this card I did not know that the "FRIEND" stamp I used from the "Friends 24/7" stamp set would be retiring :(

The colours are Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait...cannot believe these colours are 1 year old now. Have you seen the NEW 2011 In Colours yet?? Be sure to check those out! Love 'em!!

A little update.

Hi All,

Always when you think that life cannot get any busier it does!! I interviewed for a job and I got the job! So I have been working crazy hours to get trained. I am really loving this job. The people I work with are a group of really fantastic people! They have lots of patience too! Eventually I will get into a regular schedule of hours.

I received some really upsetting news yesterday afternoon...my favorite Uncle has passed away : ( very suddenly. He was only 54 years old. I am so sad. He lives near North Bay, Ontario. My parents were just visiting him just over a week ago. So nice that they got that time with him. Now we will be travelling up to the funeral.

So I must cancel my 3 Card Class Night on Tuesday, June 28. I will send out an email to those that signed up for the class. Just thought that I'd post it here so that if you were thinking of coming and had not yet signed up, you'll know that it has been cancelled. I will reschedule in soon when I know better what my hours will be in my new job.

Saying Good-bye is never easy...

What an amazing Trip!!

We returned home from our Alaskan Cruise late Friday night. Still recovering...my poor husband still has a case of the dizzies!! He was not affected at all onboard the ship....I on the other hand had a bout of sea sickness on the 21st, then again on the 25th, both sea days. I hope he feels better soon.

Well, it was so much more than I had imagined. Wow! Stampin' Up! sure knows how to spoil! I cannot share it all with you just yet. But I can share with you a card I made today. I have a class tomorrow night that I have been preparing for today! Oh, it was fun to stamp again!

So here is a card we will be making tomorrow night...

This card was inspired by a swap card I received from a table mate on Cruise named Jill Olsen, a very sweet woman, (and her husband, Danny, was the entertainment for our Husbands!).

On this card I used Hello Blossoms stamp and Beyond the Garden DSP, both from the Summer Mini Catalogue. You can click the link in the sidebar to view the Summer Mini Catalogue and all the other wonderful product!! Check out The Open Sea stamp set and the Triple Layer Punches!!

So I must Thank you for coming back over and over again...even though I have not been very consistent posting. I will do better!

Now I better get my clothes out of the dryer...have to get a nice outfit together for tomorrow...I have a job interview! Wish me luck!! This will be the perfect job for me...part time in the evenings...every Monday, Wednesday evening one week, then Monday, Wednesday, Friday evening, all day Sat and Sunday then next week. Every other weekend off! That's great! Home with my kidlets in the daytime for the Summer! The same hours weekly...that will make my life so much easier!

And as you know I always hold my classes on Tuesday and Thursdays...perfect!!

Counting down to Alaska...

Hiya!! I am getting so excited!! I am counting down the days to the Stampin' Up! Alaskan Incentive Cruise. 10 days left! Knowing for almost one year that I would be going has been killer. I have been sitting on my excitement as not to upset my children who will not be joining us.

I have been busy busy getting all the things done on my checklist...I have to pick up my two formal dresses today, I already picked up my hubby's suit and I found Sea Bands and childrens gravol...I get sick in the car...oh, I hope that I don't feel too sick on the boat...that would suck! I have new shoes, a new hairdo, new make up even!!

We are still trying to narrow down our "want to do" list for shoe excursions. That's been a hard one. There are lots of thing that we want to do and see in Alaska...I have always wanted to go there!! My husband and I are celebrating our 10 year Wedding Anniversary on May 19th, the day before we set sail. I am so lucky to be able to earn this amazing trip. I could not have done it without my husbands' hard work (taking care of the kiddes while I am teaching a class, cooking, cleaning and laundry!). So he has earned this cruise too. I get to give this gift to him for 10 wonderful years together and two beautiful children!!

I am sorry that I do not have any cards to share...my camera is full of pic's of the kiddies. I have to get that downloaded soon. I have been creating cards though. I promise to take pic's and get them posted soon. I also want to share a picture of the gift Stampin' Up! sent me with all my cruise info in! Just gotta get the camera done!

Oh, I wanted to share that I have a job interveiw tomorrow! This is for a position at a company that I worked at 10 years ago. I worked in a chem lab as a temp employee and my contract ended three months before my wedding. So here we are now, 10 years, two kids later and I am so hoping to get this job. I loved working there. Many of the great staff are still there too! So please keep me in your thoughts!

Sarnia Home Show!!

Hi all! I am sorry for being away for so long. I have been preparing for the Sarnia Home Show. I have been making cards to sell...Mother's Day and Birthday Cards and more. Life is busy, busy!!

Wow, 8 things about myself, eh?

1) I am Canadian!!

2) I have been married to my best friend, Jon, for 9 years.

3) Our Anniversary is May 19th....this year on May 20th, I am taking my husband away on an Alaskan Cruise...for our 10 year Anniversary...I earned it from Stampin' Up! (Thank you to my wonderful customers and my team!!)

4) I am a mother of two....Liam, just turned 8, and Summmer is 4. They are the loves of my life!!

5) My favorite SU Colours are....oh, there are so many that I love! I love Pink Pirouette, Early Espresso, Baja Breeze...and so many more!

6) The Big Shot and dies and EMBOSSING folders have to be my favorite Stampin' Up products.

7) I scrapbooked for 7 years before I discovered SU....now I mostly make cards. But I still love to scrapbook...just takes more time.

8) I feel like a kid at Christmas every time there is a New Mini release....even more so when it's a new Idea Book and Catalogue....and every time Mr. Brown comes to my door!!

Paper Flowers...

Here is a card I made last week. When I saw this DSP pattern from Springtime Vintage I thought it looked like lattice. So I made some paper flowers and voila!

Life has been a little crazy busy lately. I have more cards to share I just need to take some time and get the pictures!! So check back for some cards made with the Sale-a-bration DSP and Stamp sets.

On Friday, February 18th I am holding a Birthday Card Stamp-a-stack!! Two classes, the first at 10:30am and the second class at 6:30pm. We will be making a feminine birthday card, a masculine birthday card, and youth birthday cards. We are making 20 cards and you'll receive envelope too. A Masculine Birthday Card...

With all the pretty Stampin' Up! products in the Catalogue and the Mini I find it hard to put them down and make a masculine card...but we all have men in our lives that need a nice manly card...they don't quite appreciate flowers made of paper do they! I had a request to make a masculine birthday card by a club member so I pulled out my Mighty Oak stamp from the stamp set Lovely as a Tree. This stamp set is so versatile! My Dad reminds me of a mighty oak...big and strong and always there for me.

Here's my card today...

I will save this card for my Dad's Birthday...although it's not until October.

I am having my club ladies tomorrow night...looking forward to it! They are a great group of ladies!

Let it Snow , Let it Snow, Let is Snow!!!

Holy Cow the snow here in Southwestern Ontario is crazy....as with much of North America I think! I just got in from helping my hubby shovel some of that snow....I am gonna hurt for a week! I got a leg cramp just behind my knee while taking off my boot. OUCH that hurts!!

I was a good day for the kids to be off for a PD Day because I wouldn't have taken them out in this anyway! My Mom had to go to a doctor's appt this morning and since she was already out, she stopped in to get Liam so that he could spend the day with Papa. Summer and I did lots of fun things...she painted, I did the wash and did the dishes and...well, then we baked Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins, and did a puzzle a few times!! Then she read a book with Uncle Cory (my youngest brother who is here visiting) then played Jenga with him too while I got to shovel snow!!

I have am working on a few things right now...I always end up with a few things on the go...now I need to finish them...I am hoping tonight to do some of that. Oh I just remembered I am supposed to go out to a Concert at the Theatre tonight. I gues we'll see if this snow keeps coming.

So I am thinking spring! Here is a card that will have you thinking of the warmer days that are coming....eventually, right? Spring has to come!

This stamp set is called Nature Walk. There are six beautiful images in this set. I have only used two here on this card. The words are form the Fabulous Phrases set. A bunch of individual words...fabu-lous!! I stamped the butterfly image on watercolour paper and used an Aqua Painter to colour in the butterfly...I used Riding Hood Red, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Markers.

I am working on a Chore Chart for my kidlets. Oh it is turning out just beautiful!

So I'll share when it's done.

Better go and get dinner started....apparently chicken burgers don't cook themselves...for some reason I thought that they did!

Vintage Birthday Card...

Oh how I love the Springtime Vintage DSP!! Here is another little beauty I made.

I used a few different stamp sets on this card. The flourish is from the Sale-a-bration set Bliss...love it!!

I believe that the sentiments are for the Hostess Level 3 stamp set in the 2010/2011 IBC (Idea Book and Catalogue) called Occasional Quotes.

I am currently working on a few little Thank you gifts...I'll share them soon.

I will be back tomorrow with another card.

The kidlets have a PD Day tomorrow....strange to be right in the middle of the week.

Oh wanna hear one of those "kids say the cutest thing" quotes??? I don't know about cute, more like mortifying!!!

Summer and I were out shopping for new alarm clocks on Saturday. There was an older woman doing the same. I was looking for a dual alarm and Summer was looking for a PINK one (that's my girl!) anywhoo, Summer says "Look Mommy, that lady has a big BOOTY. I turn around and see what she is pointing. Then the lady, also shopping for an alarm, turns arounds and smiles...I smile back.............then the lit turns on in my head and I say "Oh no, she was looking at this box on this shelve behind us at this Rocker Chic"........duh, as I stammer....I am sure she believes me. Summer was standing right in front of the box therefore this women could not see the box. OhMissGosh!, as Summer would say! I was just a little embarassed...not so much that Summer had said what she said, cause kids are honest and true, and cute and FORGIVABLE but because I said

"Yes honey, she sure does!"

Well I hope you liked that one...

In need of Birthday Cards??

I am having a Birthday Card Stamp Camp! I am determined to send out cards to friends and family for their birthdays this year...one of my New Years Resolutions. I love everything in the New Occasions Mini...and have already made a bunch of Birthday cards with the many beautiful Designer Series Papers. This one here is one of my fav's...it was stuck in my head for a few days!! You know when that happens...I knew how I wanted it to look so I played with it until it had just the right balance.

It has been one of those weeks around here, and even though it has been one of those weeks I can say that I was able to find some some relief from all the stress in my studio. Thank goodness for stampin'!

But most importanly Thank heaven's for great friends that will listen and pass you a tissue or two!! And a bottle of wine! Thanks Rosemary for being a wonderfully supportive friend this week and always!

Spending tomorrow with my wonderful family...I love Sundays!! Family...they just heal me and remind me of what is important. Day of games and learning and laughs and love. Doesn't get any better than that!!

Blossoms Petal Punch...

I love this new Blossom Petals punch!! I enjoy making flowers out of paper too. This turned out better than I'd imagined and I like when that happens!

Now there is a matching stamp set for this punch...which I love too, but have not purchased yet!

So I used the Wonderfully Worn Background stamp and a sponge to get some texture on the petals.

I got to spend some time in my stamp room this weekend and got alot accomplished.

I am just on a little break now to make some Blueberry Tea.

Reminds me of Gramma...

I love our New Springtime Vintage DSP...it very much reminds me of vintage fabric used in quilting...something my Grams would have used for sure! When she passed a few years ago my Mom recieved quilts made by my Gramma. Three of the quilts were finished and one was still in the quilting stage. My Gramma told me when she was working on this very quilt that her Mother had pieced it, she was handquilting it and wanted my Mom and I to work on it with her. Well, we never got that chance. But now that we have the quilt we can finish it together, my Mom and I. Then this quilt will have been made by four generations. I look forward to doing that someday. We should make a plan before ths time gets away on us.

The Quilt Block on this card is the Dresden Plate. It was my Gramma's favorite quilt block...I think that maybe it had something to do with the fact that she grew up in Dresden, Ontario. And my Great Grandmother was a well known quilter in her time and had made over 100 quilts in her life (she lived to 91 years old!) It is a pretty block design. I am really happy with the way this card turned out! I know Grams would have love this card!! So I dedicate it to her....I really miss her.

Valentines' Day!! So I have a few Valentines' Day Cards for you!!

For this card I used the Filled with Love Stamp Set....and right now Stampin' Up has bundled this stamp set with Love Patterns Designer Paper Pack (Pretty in Pink and Real Red)...and with the purchase of this bundle then you will receive a package of Bitty Buttons for free....this bundle contains all you need to make some really beautiful Valentines!! For this card I used...can you guess? No stamps whatsoever!! The images are all Rub-ons!! Love Impressions Rub-ons from the Occassions Mini. Love them!! This card was so easy to put together. You gotta try these rub-ons!

So that's it for today. I made some really amazing cards yesterday...just gotta get the pic's taken.

I have a Stampin' Up! meeting in London tonight...can't wait...these meetings are so much fun! Tonight we are doing a shoebox swap. What's that you ask? Well it's like what I do for you in class. I design a card then cut all the materials for 10 cards and bag them...put all the products used for the card into a tote....at the meeting, tables are set up all around the perimeter of the room...at each table is someone elses card for me to make...I get to make ten cards and 10 others get to make mine! I come home with 10 new card ideas!

There are always lots of display boards set up with other demonstrators work....very beautiful work...very creative group!! I take my camera and take a ton of pictures of all the beautiful work. This one time...(at band camp...tee hee, my hubby made me watch that movie the other night...I just love that part!) I brought the camera but left the SD card in my laptop....what's funny in that I took 1 million pictures before I realized that the SD card was missing!!! I was so disappointed! I can laugh about it now though!

I jut hope that the weather holds out...the highway between here and London (an hours drive) can be brutal. It can be sunny and clear here and in London but in between...just aweful!! So wish me luck. I am going with a couple of wonderful downlines...haven't seen in awhile so this will be fun!

Here is my card for today...

I just love the little bunny on this DSP!I have been concentrating on Birthday cards so I made this card as a Baby Boy Birthday card, like a one year old. But you could use a few other sentiments too, "Happy Easter" or "Welcome Baby", even "Congrats". I doesn't even have to be boy, right.

Summer is here playing Wii Bowling. She is so good at it! Liam is off to Judo with Jon. This is Liam's second time going. I think he is emjoying it. Jon had been talking about getting Liam into Judo for awhile now..

Over the holidays my Aunt and Uncle came to visit. My Uncle is a Judo Master! He let the kids put on his uniform....I know there is a name for it, I just don't know that name yet. But it was so cute.

My Uncle's name is Helmut Khromer. He showed the kids some moves.

And would you believe that he is 71years old...young!

No children were hurt in the process! What a treat this was! They were thrilled. After this Liam really wanted to go to Judo classes. Summer did too....but she has to be 6 years old to attend....even though she is the size of a six year old!! My Uncle is so great with kids! He even sat at the island with the kids for dinner!

My son is too young to date!

Last week Liam came home from school telling me of how a girl in his class has this OLDER sister....and he over heard her whisper to the younger sister that she thinks Liam is CUTE!! You should have seen the look on his face as he was telling me about this. He was all smiley...you know that smile...the one that says "a girl has a crush on me". So I say "Well, I think you are a bit young for that kind of thing, eh?" Then on Monday he tells me that the same OLDER sister whispers the same thing again....he said to me with that silly smile "Mom, I think that I AM too young for dating...I'm only ALMOST 8 years old!" He isn't even sure how "old" she is...just that she is the "older" sister to the girl in his class. Then today he said that he saw her again and once again she said it again. So we are walking to the car and he's telling me about it and he says "Well, I am NOT getting married until I am at least 25!" Very smart!! I thought that he might say something like "at least not until I am 16". But he tells me tonight that he will start dating when he is 16 and married at 25....then he asked me when I started dating.......anyhooo, on to my card!

These are a coupl of the cards we'll be making in mt Stamp-a-Stack of Birthday cards on January 28th.

I am back!!

You know Christmas time is so busy with work and business and family....I needed to take some time off. I know that I have been a bad blogger lately. I am sorry. I do appreciate you coming back again and again to see "what's new".

So "what have I been up too?" you ask....well, just before Christmas I have an uncle pass away suddenly, my Mom's oldest brother...it was a shock. (Rest in peace Uncle Wayne.) His family decided to wait until after Christmas to the "visitation" and all that. So things got busy. It was really nice to see all the family, just not the kind of circumstances you want to bring us all together though, you know what I mean. My Mom's side of the family used to get together every Christmas....then kids grow and get their own lives and it becomes this incredible feat to organize and synchronize everyone for the holidays. Like I said it was really nice to get everyone together.

Then my Dad's oldest sister and husband came to visit for a couple days...lots more visiting there!! My Husbands brother and wife were also in town for the Holidays...love hanging out with them. We have this tradition of going bowling on New Years Eve day....lots of laughs! And very sore muscles the next day...have you ever heard of "Bowlers Bum"? Well I always get it when I bowl...unless I am bowling in a league and bowl every week! (which I haven;t done in a couple of years).

Then came New Years Eve....we spent with the kids at their Godparents house with all of their kids to play with...it was a great time for everyone!

So now we are up to the kids going back to school... : ( They were so good over the Holidays and I really miss them when they are at school. But I was happy to get the house back in order....tree down and decoration put away for another year. I took the whole week to just clean at a leisurely pace. And keep it that way!

In all of this cleaning though, I realized I was avoiding my studio. I was not feeling creative one bit. I lost my mojo. Sad. It makes makes me very sad to loss my mojo. But guess what...I found it yesterday....it was hiding in a stamp set called BRING ON THE CAKE (from the New Occasions Mini). I made a couple of cards....then I moved on to another stamp set called BLISS (from the Sale-a-bration Mini). I am excited to share these cards with you...just one of them today....save the others for throughout the week, just in case my mojo hides again. Hee, hee. I will also get the Occasions Mini linky thingy put on my blog here to so that you can browse though it.

Sorry for rambling. Here`s my card. This one is for an upcoming Birthday Card Stamp-a-Stack....

'Tis the Season....to be busy!

Hi all! Just thought I'd share a card today. I don't think I have shared this one...forgive me if I have. We are running out of days til Christmas, arghhhh! Actually I am almost ready. My scrapbooks are almost finished. I just have about an hours left of work on them. YAY!! I have 99% of the shopping finished....just need some chocolates for stockings, and 75% of the wrapping if done! I have two shifts at work to get thru....Wed. and Thursday night! So it is all looking good from here! The kidlets are going to hang out with my in-laws today to get some baking done. I hope all is well with you! Enjoy!

I'll be working on Birthday Cards next! Look for the New Occasions Mini in your mailbox soon....it goes live on January 4th. I got my pre-order products for this mini....they have been sitting in the box for awhile now. Can't wait to play with them.

I will be holding a Birthday Card Class in January...I am determined to get my Birthday Cards made in advanced to have on hand when the occasion arises! I will have the details for you in early January.

Our Big Day!!

Here are some pictures from our Special Day...last Friday, November 26th. It was my husbands 37th Birthday, our Church Wedding Day and our childrens' Baptism Day. I think I explained all of this in a previous post....we have been legally married for 9 years now...just not married in the church. In order to have our children baptized we needed to say our vows in the Church....which I always wanted to do! So we planned out this beautiful day!

My Mom took pictures...well she tried! I mean the videos did not turn out...but the pictures did. At lest she brought her camera, I forgot mine. I remembered to bring the most imortant things...the kids and my husband!!!

I HAVE PROJECTS TODAY!!!!

So finally I have a projects to post and the time to post. Thank you for returning to my blog...Thank you for sticking with me.

I was blog hopping this morning and I came across a card made by a designer name K Warner. She uses some SU products but she is not a demonstrator....I love her work. So I cased her card. Where she did not use any SU product on hers...I used only SU product on mine....and I so love how it turned out!!!

Love it!!!

I used the Clear Circle Die to cut the circle card and the Circle Scissors Plus to cut the Polka Dot DSP. I used the Bella Toile Background Stamp with Very Vanilla Craft ink and clear embossing powder on the Early Espresso Scallop Circle. I used the Champagne Glass Glitter with Tombow glue....love that glitter!!! I used a piece of Sticky Strip to adhere the Chantilly Crochet Trim.

I am thinking of making more but instead of making them into cards I will just not add the Scallop Circle to the Circle card base and add a gold elastic sting to hang them!!

Wait I have more to share with you!! These are the Stamp-a-stack Cards I promised you. I changed up a couple of these from the first class....I am holding another tomorrow night...there are still seats open!!! Contact me to reserve your seat (and cut your supplies!!).

This above card I originally made with a Crumb Cake Card Base....but I found that the images didn't stamp as nicely as on the Very Vanilla so I changed that!

Ooops I forgot to stamp the matching wheel across the bottom! I made the ornament 3D on this one....so cute! It folds down to put in the envelope.

This card I love in Blushing Bride....but I had a request to do it in Baja Breeze...I am waiting for the snowflake die to arrival from my Mom...she borrowed it this weekend....boy I gotta get her to purchase her own Big Shot and dies!!

This one I am leaving just as it is...so simple and cute!!

This is my original card...but in the firt class we sprayed it with Champagne Mist paint that I mixed into a bottle of hairspray! Makes a beautiful Shimmer on it!! Yes, that's right! Make your own Shimmer Spray! Just pour the contents of the bottle of paint, including the little ball for mixing, into a bottle of haispray....I just picked up a bottle at the Discount store! This will last forever!!! Give it a try!!

We used it on the Blushing Bride Snowflake card with the Frost White Shimmer Paint!

On to other things....so Jon and I said our vows in the Church on Friday and had the kidlets baptized! It was wonderful!! It really was like getting married all over again! And having the kids baptized was the whole point of all of this...and to be honest it was a dream come true for me. I don't have the pictures yet. My Mom took the pictures that day and she is sending them over later. I'll share those soon.

So I have this Demonstrator friend....

And she actually gave me a hard time last night in an email for not posting projects on my blog in forever! I know that I have been very absent for here. I have been so busy...this time of year is crazy!! I have done a couple of Craft Sales and a workshop and a couple of Stamp-a-stacks...and I do work a little outside of the home too. Even though some weeks it's only twice, it still takes my time away.

So I want to share with you what my family and I will be doing on Friday. My Husband, of 9 years, is celebrating his 37th Birthday....and on this same day we are having our children baptised...and we are getting MARRIED!!.....Hmmmmmm.......did you catch that?? My Husband and I are getting MARRIED! I know, that doesn't make sense! Well, Jon and I didn't get married in the church...we got married in a really pretty gazebo at the venue just outside of town. We are legally married...but not in the church. So in order to get the kidlets baptised we have to say our vows in the church first. I think it is kinda fun to say our vows again....and with our children present! We are gathering some of our closest friends and family to come. And we get to celebrate all of this on one day...my husbands' birthday!

So I have been running around town trying to find a Whisper White Dress for Summer....not an easy thing this time of year! All the dresses out there right now are more of a Very Vanilla (winter white)! But after 6 stores I found a beautiful Flower Girl dress for Summer! And a Whisper White sweater to cover up her arms!! They both were lucky finds.

A white dress shirt for Liam was a little easier to find but a whole lot harder to actually buy....we (my Mom and I) are in the big W**mart and the shirt will not scan...the price is right on the package....but this cashier calls for a price check....no one comes....she calls again...no one comes......I need to be at the school for my interview with Summers' teacher at noon (when we got into line we had 20 min to spare). So we are waiting....and waiting and no one ever comes...I ask the cashier "can't you just charge me $7 under the childrens dept?" and my Mom says "Jodi, why don't you go back and get another shirt?" Well first of all I don't work there and they are not paying me to do this job. I know this might come off sounding terrible but....I work in retail and customer service is the most important thing retail if you want your customers to come back...especially when we have all these store to choose from, right. So I run back there to the childrens dept and I notice an employee standing in an isle. I pass her and grab not 1 but 6 shirts (because I am not coming back for another one when this one won't scan) and as I pass that lady again I ask her "Do you work in the childrens dept?" and she says "yes", I say well, you were called for a price check twice...that's ok I got it now" she says "I called back and there was no one there" so I was really bad and said "That's ok, I'll do your job!"......but what really makes me mad is that as I walked away she shouted followed me and shouted down the next isle at me. You know I would have lost any retail job I have ever had if I'd yelled at a customer. Now I am not shopping there any more....I don't shop there much as it is...but I think that Toys R Us will get my money this Christmas. Back to my story....when I got up to the cash again with all 6 shirts (that I knew where not going to scan beacuse they were all the same) the cashier then tried to scan every one of them....I'm not saying that all of this was her fault...but she then asks the cashier next to her about what to do now and this other cashier then goes on to "TRAIN" her on how to enter it under the DEPT number!! Like I had suggested from the beginning....because I know there is a way to do this. But apparently she missed that part of her training or they didn't ever show her in the first place.....ok so that is my complaint for today!! Okay I'll share last years story....it's not so bad. I go there to W**mart to get some mittens for the kids. I fund sime pink ones for Summer and they are $8 and a Blue pair for Liam and they are $5....EXACTLY the same mittens....hers are $3 more????? So I ask the employee that is there why the same gloves are $3 different in their price....you know what she said to me??? "I think that the colour pink is harder to make so they charge more for it." I said to her in disbelief "Did you just say that?" It was out of my mouth before I could stop myself....you know when normally it's something that you think in your head but shouldn't say out loud. Can you believe she said that though. When I took the mittens to the customer service dept and asked them why such a price different fo rthe same mittens....she snarled at me and said "How am I supposed to know?" Maybe cause it's your job to know...that's why they call it customer service department??!! Ok that's my second complaint for today....I do have more. I think I'm in a mood!! I need to go take some pictures of all those projects I've been so busy making. And share them with you....because that is what you came for....not to listen to me rant about the BIG BOX store!

And besides, my demonstrator friend is in some kind of designing slump and needs a new projects to case!! I'll see what I can come up with for you T.B.!!

I am still here!

It's funny how life takes over some times. Thank you for coming back to see me. The kids are finally feeling better. they both had to do a round of antibiotics. I still have a cough and sniffle. I think it might just stay with me until spring! I guess that's what happens when you have a child in JK.

I have been busy creating...for classes and clubs. I have my annual Stamp-a-stack on Friday. There is still a couple of seats open if you are interested. Class times are 10am-2pm and 6pm-10pm. I will post the cards on Monday. We are doing 5 different cards, 4 of each for a total of 20 cards!

Today we are off to Hamilton for a CFL game! Family day! And it is snowing here in Sarnia today! Not sure about Hamilton though. I think that it is going to be a cold day!!! Jon and I went to Grey Cup in Hamilton when we were first dating...and the snow, OMGoodness!! Soooo much snow! For a football game. Crazy.

Well wish me luck that I don't freeze my tushy off!

Life...

My life keeps getting in the way of creating!! After having only 0-1 shift a week at work for awhile, now I end up Thursday night, Friday day, Saturday day, Sunday day, Monday night....Tuesday a day off then Wednesday night work...Thursday night off (yeah Grey's!!) then Friday night work! Too much! This is exactly what I did last year this time until Christmas....and I promised myself and the kids I wouldn't do it again....my poor kids cry when I tell them I've gotta work. They are at that age where they need me at home. I want to be home with them....when I 'm working then I feel like I'm missing improtant family time. That's just how I feel. I am hoping that all these hours are just because one of the girls is on vacation. November is a busy month for me with my Stampin' Events!

I have a Christmas Tags class coming up and a Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack!! So fun! I can't wait!

And poor Summer is still sick...welcome to JK!! If she's not feeling better by Monday then we'll be going to visit the doctor! And Liam and I still have a terrible cough.

I did stamp 8 images yesterday but I didn' get the chance to finish them as cards! By the time the kids are in bed at night I am so tired. Not as tired as my hubby though...poor guy...the kids keep getting him up in the night. I am a heavy sleeper and I rarely hear them. So he gets up for work at 5:30am and he get's up in the night with the kids. He is a light sleeper...he always has gotten up with them....even when they were nursing babies, I could actually sleep through the cries but he would hear them. He would get them and change them and bring them into bed and wake me to nurse them....then I'd fall back to sleep and he'd go tuck them back in to their crib. What a great Daddy! Since Summer has been sick she has been napping in the afternoons again, so she's not going to bed as early at night....Jon said tonight that soon he'll be going to bed before the kids just so that he can get some more sleep! Some night's he is actaully sleeping on the couch before they are actually asleep in their beds!

Okay enough about our sleeping habits! I'm sorry, I know you came to see some cards. I promise as soon as I make a card I'll post it. I can't wait to finish the ones I'm working on!

What a great weekend! I taught a class for my Husbands' cousin, Lisa, in Mississauga. I really enjoyed myself! The ladies were awesome and so sweet! Every one was a seasoned crafter! Very enjoyable!

I brought the family too! They really enjoyed themselves...there were other children there for them to play with. Lisa's husband put out a fabulous meal for us and her sister, Lara, and her husband and children were all there for dinner. My husband and I really enjoyed spending time with them.

Last week I shared with you one of the four cards for this Embossing Technique Class and here are the other three...

For this first card we used Early Espresso CRAFT ink and Clear embossing power...simple but so cute....this one was inspired by Lisa Depensier.

Next up is this beautiful snowflack card....

Recognize the snowflake? It's the Medallion from the Day of Gratitude stamp set.

For this card we put versamark on the image then before stamping it we sponged on some Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze and Marina Mist Classic ink starting in the middle of the medallion with the lightest blue and working our way out. Then we stamped the image. The next step was to emboss it with clear embossing powder. Once this was done we sponged the blues again (emboss resist technique) this time starting in the middle of the image with the darkest blue and worknig our way out with the lighter blues.

I love this card!

And for our last card....

We used Bells and Boughs stamp set with Versamark and Gold Embossing powder! Then I used the Stampin' Write Markers to colour in the image.

Sadly we didn't get to this card! I demonstrated it...we were having so much fun together that we took longer than planned and dinner was ready and waiting! So I will finish these cards and mail them off to the gals!

So now I'm off to plan some more events....like a Tags til Christmas Class

Taking this show on the road!

I am heading to Mississauga tomorrow to teach a class! I am so excited! I have all my cards designed, cut and bagged (Thanks Mom!). All my supplies are organized and packed...almost! The last of the wash is in...the family is coming too! It has been a long week with sick kids and fighting a cold myself. I was worried on Monday that I was not going to have enough time to get ready for my events this week and that was before everyone got sick then I ended up with the kids home sick on Tuesday and Wednesday, I sent them on Thursday (and looking back I shouldn't have)...Summer came home from school fevered, threw up, took a 4 hour nap, woke up and had some soup and crackers then went back to bed. Both the kids slept in...my wonderful girlfriend called and offered to take Liam to school for me so I wouldn't have to take Summer out in the rain (you rock girlfriend!). Summer was feeling much better today...although there is still lots of snaught...is that how you spell it?...from all three of us. I am amazed how much I was able to get done today!

I promise to share the cards when I get back. You are gonna love them!

So now I have to run and get the kiddies to bed...run out to my Mom's to borrow some Stampin' Write markers and an air matress.

Oh, before I go I wanted to share something exciting with you! No, I'm not pregnant....(well that's the first thing that usually pops into your head when someone says that!) : )

Remember the secret projects I was working on after Convention? I was asked back in July to be a Featured Guest Artist in our Stampin' Success magazine...our demonstrators magazine!!! I was asked to make four Christmas Projects for a two page article. They chose the Bells and Boughs stamp set for me from the Holiday Mini. I got the first of this stamp set hot off the presses or moulds I imagine. At Convention, I met up with Emily Meuller from the Home Office to get the stamp set. Then once I got home from Convention I was on a two week deadline to get my four projects ready and in the mail. Whew, what a deadline!!! But oh what an honor!!! The November issue of Stampin' Success was online for demo's to check out on Tuesday....and even more exciting I received my actual magazine in the mail today!!! It's so awesome to see it in real life! Ok so I tooted my own horn a little...I'm excited and honored! I took pictures of those projects and I will share them with you next week as well. If you are coming to an event soon, I share the magazine article with you too!

I received this stamp set from Stampin' Up Regionals in Hamilton. It's one of those sets that you can do so much with. Here are three cards I made with it...one card is the Make & Take card from Regionals and the other two were inspired by samples on a display board there at Regionals.

I'm working on a Winter themed card using this medallion image as a snowflake....so cute!

Happy Turkey Day!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! We had homemade pizza tonight! We had turkey dinner at my parents house on Saturday and ham with my in-laws yesterday! YUM!

Now I have two sick kiddies. Liam has a fever and Summer has a bad cough. I have to work tomorrow thru the day...the first day shift...now that both of the kids go to school all day I told my Manager that I was available from 10am til 3pm...of course my fisrt day shift in my children are sick...now to ask my Mother-in law if she can watch Liam if he's still fevered in the morning.

I do have a card for you today. I know I have been neglecting you...I am sorry...life gets so busy! This is a Christmas card for my class that I'll be going to Mississauga for....it turned out really nice! Well I think so anyway!

I'll be teaching embossing and the different techniques you can do! I love this emboss-resist technique.

I have to find time to make two more cards and finish one that I have started.

The kids are fed and bathed and ready for bed and it's only 6:40pm. A few more minutes and they are off to bed. I just don't know if I will have the energy to get down stairs to the studio tonight. I've got a snuffy nose too, and my ear that bothered me for 2 weeks is feeling full again, but Mommies not allowed to bed sick, right?! "Suck it up buttercup" rings in my full ear!!!

Sorry for complaining...no one else listens and here you are kinda held hostage to my rant! Tee hee!

Life has been a little hectic and I have been neglecting you! I am sorry. I haven't had time to stamp so I haven't had things to share with you either...but I did find this one card...I'm pretty sure I haven't shown you....so here it is...a simple card...looks simple anyway!

I just love these little cubby penguins! They are form the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set in the Holiday Mini! JUst have to have this set that has all kinds of cute winter/Christmas images! I markered up his feet and nose in More Mustard and his body in Basic Black of coarse, then I used a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker to draw the line around them and also used the marker to ink up the Season's Greetings Sentiment from a stamp in the Gifted stamp set. It's a simple and clean card. No layers and no ribbon...can you believe it? Well, I was inspired by Ilina Crouse on this one. I had seen her card some time ago and thought of how simply sweet it was...then when I got this stamp set I made mine without going back to look at hers....well, they turned out a little different but with the same feel. I purposely didn't go back to see her card until mine was complete. I think that as a demonstrator, getting to share and see all kinds of wonderful cards on Stampin' Connection has it's beneifits and disadvantages too. This demonstrator, Ilina Crouse is wonderfully talented. I love her work. She puts in her pre-order, as demo's get to do, but she must live right outside the door of Stampin' Up because she always has her goodies first and has samples online right away even before my pre-order has shipped! By the time I get my box of goodies I've seen so many samples already that I feel like when I do sit down to create something...it's not my own...my mind is flooded with elements of others samples...elements that I really liked and they stuck in my head! Weird,eh?

So this one time (at band camp...sorry, I counld help it!!!) I refused to look at anyones samples until I had my box of goodies and made my own first so that I knew they were from my head and know one elses! And you must know how hard that was to NOT look...not even a peek. Here in Canada, where I live at least, it takes 7 business days to get here. Sometimes when the stars are alined and the moon is Bashful Blue I get my order one day sooner. And sometimes, like today I see that my current box of goodies decide to take a joy ride on the back of the UPS truck all the way to Kansas...I am not kiddin' you! So it was supposed to come Thursday and now it has been RESCHEDULED for the 12th...AHHHHHH! Okay well I'm not being completely honest....it's just catalogues in that order! My goodies are coming Thursday...it just sounded more dramatic if you thought that it was my goodies!

Okay, I gotta get to bed...the kidlets have school tomorrow and we've been having some terrible mornings around here...lets hope tomorrow goes better! Doesn't help either if Mommy's tired.

I found this beautiful card on Stampin' Connection and just had to case it! (Carrie Gaskin is the original designer). It's my favorite colour! PINK! I know!!! Pink for Christmas! I LOVE this card!

So pretty. The pink is the New In Colour Pink called Blushing Bride and it works so nicely with Very Vanilla. The glitter is our new glass glitter...I love this stuff! No mess glitter!

This is the project I worked on all day yesterday! I am so pleased with how it turned out! I received this stamp set at Stampin' Up!'s Regional Event in Hamilton on the weekend....I have been waiting and waiting to get my hands on this set and trying to control myself by not ordering it because I knew that I was getting it....that was hard! I love this set...the medallion image is so pretty!

This project was inspired by Kimberly Van Diepen. She is so talented. I changed up the elements and made it my own. This was really fun. I love the details! There are so many products used that I won't list them.
Then when I finished this project I went to to make three cards using this stamp set too...it is called Day of Gratitude (#120835 $32.95 w or #121148 22.95 c on pg 12 of the Holiday Mini!)

I think that I'll save the cards to share with you tomorrow! Not to tease you but incase I don't get down to my studio tonight to get something new created for tomorrow!

And this way I'll have some details for the class I'll be offering for this stamp set!

What a wonderful Regional in Hamilton!

So much fun! And Shelli was there...you don't know who Shelli is? She is the Co-founder and President of Stampin' UP! Such a beautiful and sweet and gracious lady! I went up to her and asked if I could have a picture with her....I shook her hand and introduced myself and she says...you know that we shouldn't be shaking hands...I'm so embarrased now...I said "my hands are clean!". I was thinking that she was referring to the time of year and how gems are passed by shaking hands! She then said that we should be hugging! She said that Canadians are so polite with hand shaking but that Americans HUG. So I said "oh, you want a hug...I can do that! So I hugged her....RED FACE and all. It doesn't help that my ear is still plugged and I'm thinking I missed some of what she said! That's my story and I'm sticking with that! Well, I think that she'll remember me! It's hard not to be a little awe struck. I always embarass myself in social situations....imagine what kinda silly thing I'd say to Brad Pitt if ever given the chance to meet him! Oh well, what can you do!

So Stampin' Up has made becoming a demonstrator a really awesome thing right now! Not only do you get the most amazing Starter Kit...you also get the New Greenhouse Gala Tote (you can see it on the left hand column of my blog). I have one and it is the BEST!!! Then while we were in Hamiton yesterday they sweetened the deal a little more!!!! If you join my team before October 10th you will recieve a SNEAK PEEK stamp set from the next Mini Catalogue! It's called EAT CHOCOLATE!!! Here are some sample made with this set!

(and although I haven't seen it...word on the SU street is that these cute little guys are PUNCHED out with a co-ordinating PUNCH!!! I have been wonderfully spoiled today! Jon has made breakfast, lunch and dinner today! He has bathed the kidlets and they are soon ready for bed. I have been able to stamp today! I have the finishing touches to do on this project then I'll get the picture and post it tomorrow! I am always so inspired by other demonstrators. After being at Regionals I have so many ideas swimming aroung in my head! Got to get them made!

I'm gonna run and spend some time with the kids before bed...I think we'll be reading some of our favorite stories tonight!

I'll be leaving in less than an hour...just waiting for my jammies to dry! Geeting in some last minute snuggles with the kidlets!

I ended up going to the ER last night to have my ear checked...it's an infection...swimmers ear! I should have gone sooner in the week! That'll teach me. I went after my club members left and I got there around 11pm and crawled into bed at 2am...long wait for a 2 min diagnosis! Hot Doc though!

Here the the card front I made for a swap for the Stampin' Up! Regional Seminar...it was inspired by Sandi MacIver....

This second one was my first version...

I couldn't do this as a swap card because I used markers on the Holly...way too time consuming...also I didn't have enough of the Whisper White Satin Ribbon.

I can't wait to see what I get back for swaps.

Ohhhhh, I love this little guy!!! This little gingerbread man is from the Jolly Bingo Bits from the Holiday Mini! The are 24 very cute little Christmas images in this stamp set...the possibilities are truly endless.

You can fin this little cutie on page 28 of the Holiday Mini (#120857 w or #121187 c).

I did get to make some swaps last night!!! I made 30 card fronts. I spent this morning getting them all finished. Swapping cards at Stampin' Up! events is really a fun experience! Can't wait for tomorrow night! I get to spend some time with my great friend and downline Sue Grant who has been MIA because she started a new full time job. I miss talking to her everyday. So it'll be nice to get to spend Friday night and all day Saturday in Hamilton...doing what we love! STAMPING!!!

50 candy wrappers!

Here are my candy wrapper treats for the kids classes....there are 30 students in Summer's class and 20 in Liam's...

Actually I don't think that there are quite 50 there....I need to recount and make a few more. I used the Wicked Fun Specialty DSP for these little cuties. I save out the Flocked paper and will use those for another project so that's why I was short a few candy wrappers....these went together very easily...once I got the hang of it! I cut them all out and then put the together while watching TV the other night. I'm thinking that I will stamp a Spooky greeting on them too. So not quite done but definately ahead of schedule!

I worked on a few Christmas card today while my Mom was here for a visit. Then she was telling me how she has to create a display at work in a display case and they can win a prize for the best display case...it's for a gift they are giving away....a camera. She she was brain-storming how to make a carmera from a box. So as she's thinking out loud how to do this I got out the Big Shot Box #2 XL die and ran thru a piece of Basic Grey CS and folded it up, then I punched some circles and stuff....then I showed her what I had made and she said "that will do just perfectly!". Then I let her leave without taking a picture of it...silly me!

I am going to Stampin' Up!'s Regional Seminar in Hamilton on Saturday...I got to thinkning today that I should make up some cards to swap....I know leaving it kinda late. But this one card I made up today would be really quick and simple. I was thinking of using it for a Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack.

So maybe tonight I'll make a few. Last night I ended up resting on the couch after the kids went to bed...boy, they sure wear me out. By the time I get them to bed I'm beat. If I sit down on the couch then I'm done.

You know that feeling don't ya!

Well not really....it's a whooping 30 degress out right now in Sarnia! WOW! I love that song and always sing it to the kids....but I was refering to my card today! Oh, just a sec I gotta check on the lasagna in the oven.......ok it's ready! Gotta get the kids in and cleaned up for dinner....well, it'll need to cool awhile. Back to my card....this is a card that we made at my workshop on Sunday. It's a shaker card. I used Stampin' UP!'s new glass glitter...oh, I love this glitter...it's no mess glitter...gotta love that!!!!! I cased this card from Stampin' Connection. I changed it up a bit. I'm sorry I'll have to look up the name of the original creator!

Okay so I tried looking up her name and it seems that she must not have tagged her photo right and I cannot find her...I'm sorry to that demo. I like to give credit to those who I've cased.

I used Alway Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake cardstock. The stamps sets are "Welcome Chritmas" (page 37 of the IBC #118736 w or 120597 c) and the sentiment is from the "Bright Christmas" stamp set found in the Holiday Mini on page 22 (#121678 w or 121318 c). I also used the "En Francais" background stamp (page 142 IBC #109521) and the "Vintage Wallpaper" Impressions embossing folder.

I love this card and think that I'll be making more of these...maybe even tonight if the kids don't wear me out first.

Tomorrow I will show you my Hallowen Treats for the kids classes. I have them all done. I know it is really early..but if you remember I was a little off my game last year! I just need to add the candy!

Better get the kiddies fed now...

My poor ear is still plugged...has been for days now! Poor Jon is not feeling well...coming down with a cold...Liam had a cough yesterday but seems fine so far today and Miss Summer is just fine so far...fingers crossed!

Have I told you how much I love Stampin' Up! lately? I recieved three free stamps sets from Mr. Brown today!!! Can't wait to play with those....I cannot reveal why I got them yet...stay tuned!

One of the most important reasons that I love SU is because of the people it has brought into my life! From my wonderful Customers to awesome Demonstrators...I have made the most wonderful friends...one new friend I have made is a demonstrator that lives in Edmonton...we connected on Stampin' Connection (it's kinda like FB for Demonstrators only). We chatted online for a few months...then last week she suprized me with a phone call! She called last night too and we easily spent one hour on the phone!! If it wasn't for her beautiful daughters needing bath time and my dear Husband, who very patiently waited that hour to watch a movie with me...I'm pretty sure we could have talked for hours more! So now we are trying to make a plan to meet at Leadership (a Stampin' Up! Event that is for demo's with growing businesses). I soooo hope that we both can go...It'll be so much fun! So here's shout out to my new friend in Edmonton...Tamara Bertram.

So we managed to survive Summer's first full week of school. Poor girl...she has had too many meltdowns! Jon took the day off work today to help me clean some stuff out of the basement. He took the kids to school. Summer cried when he left. Poor Jon!

Liam has his buddy over and Jon is building a campfire for them. I'm hiding in the house because I don't want to smell like campfire tonight! I love the campfire, don't get me wrong...but Jon and I worked hard today...moving funiture and stuff...I just had a shower late this afternoon....I'm tired!

Maybe I'll sneak down to the studio and make a card...or cut the cards for my workshop for Sunday! Looking forward to that!

Greeting Card Kids....

I so LOVE this stamp set!!! It's called Greeting Card Kids found on page of the Idea Book and Catalogue (#119887)...

Oh aren't they adorable!!!

So I wanted to use the little boy and girl stamp...but I wanted them individually....I inked one of them up at a time very carefully with Black Stazon.

This is what I came up with!

I need to make a couple more of these little cuties...I gave them all away to some wonderful Teachers at the kids school!

Speacking of kids and school...a little update on Summer...she is doing great at school....she has had tears in the mornings before school and at night before bed. Not this morning though! It has been very long week for her...and me...I miss my sidekick!

And Liam...well, he's doing fantastic! Making new friends and trading Pokeman (sp?) cards!

I'm sorry that you have come to visit to see some new creations and there haven't been any! This back to school this is so hard and very time consuming!
Liam has made it through two full days back to school...he got punched today...poor little guy...get to figure all that out tomorrow...he told the "staff" at recess but his teacher didn't find out until I was asking him in the hallway today if he'd been crying today because he had a streak of dirt near his eye...you know that dirty hand wiping the tears away? His teacher happen to over hear us talking. Liam didn't know the boys name and thinks this boy is in his class...so he is to point out the boy tomorrow morning. A "no hands on policy" my tush! Every beginning of school something like this happenes to him...lucky for me he still likes school.
Miss Summer has her first day tomorrow. I'm so sad! She's gonna cry, then I'll cry, then she'll cry more cause I'm crying....it's gonna be messy! You know as hard as I try I can't control the tears. She had a hugh meltdown tonight...I had to shower her while she was screaming...poor hubby had to leave the room because of her screaming...what the neighbor's must think! I put her to bed at 6:30. Poor girl. After I finally got her settled we were chatting about school tomorrow...(she has been excited so far) but when I told her that I would take her nap for her in her bed she started to cry and said that she wanted to stay home with me :(
The only reason I said it is because she has been telling me that I can play with her toys and watch her TV shows while she's at school, to give me stuff to do while I'm home alone...and it was her idea that I have a nap in her bed. This is so hard. I really don't even want to imagine what it will be like when she goes off to University or gets married and moves out...(thinking of you C.S.). Why do they have to grow up? I keep telling her to stop growing! And she says "Mommmyyy, I can't stop growing silly!". And if you know Summer then you know why I tell her to stop growing...she is 4 years old and she is the size of a 5-6 year old. Not kidding you! I just bought her some size 6 pants today...I just bought her 7 year old brother size 6 pants today too! They are both wearing size 2 shoes. They weigh the same. He is taller...Thank goodness for his sake!

Back to school.... :(

First day of school always makes me sad! Today Liam goes into grade 2...where does the time go? SUmmer has her interview with her teaches at 12:45 today...then Thursday will be her first day...all day :( . I am going to miss her terribly! She has been my side kick for ahwile now...what will I do without her? I know, I know, I'll get lots of things done...and I do look forward to all the extra time I'm going to have...but I would much rather have her here with me every other day then being gone all day every day....I don't know what our government was thinking...4 year old are too young for this. The only ones that really benefit are those parents that have been paying for daycare. They are all pretty happy. We'll see how it goes.

Liam is all ready for shcool this morning...lunch bag packed, back pack packed...dressed...I'm surprized he doesn't have his shoes on and waiting in the car! Miss Summer on the other hand is actually still sleeping! I think this is the latest she has slept in all summer long! Figures! I better go and get her up.

Wish me luck today! I'm gonna need it!

"A Year of Memories" Scrapbook started!!!

So this is what I have been busy working on....My "Year of Memories" Scrapbook"! So I made scrapbooks of my kidlets every year to give as gifts to my parents, in-laws and my brother-in-law and his wife. And this year I decided I wanted one for myself. Now I am making 4! I have the 4 of my title page finished and the pieces cut for the Dec 2009 and Jan 2010 layouts but only one of each finished! I am hoping to work on them on the night of this Scrapbook Class!

So here they are...

This is Christmas morning 2009. They kids were so excited! This was the first year that Summer really "got" it. When we just had Liam my parents would spend Christmas morning with us...but now there are lots of grand children and two of my three brothers live out of town...my parents are usually busy with one of my brothers visiting homw or visiting one of my brothers out of town :( .SO I know that they'll love these pictures of moments they missed.

January fun! My birthday is in January so the top left pic was just after the kids and hubby sang Happy Birthday to me. My hubby made my birthday dessert! It wasn't cake either. This sweetie made me a peanut butter cheesecake with oreo cookie crust...OMGoodness it was awesome...Jon you rock!

Next pic's are Liam and Summer skating...Summer's first time!! and the next page is one morning that Liam was in school and it was just SUmmer and I home...sniff, sniff....she was out in the snow. I was taking secret pic's of her thru the window....then I saw her eating the snow off her mittens....I went out to offer her a snack but she said that the snow would do!

There are 8x8 pages. I always use wallet sized photo's that I print myself...so that I can put 3-4 pic's per page. I choose my favorite pic's of the kids and whatever the may have done that month.

So these will be the first pages we'll be making in my "A Year of Memories" Scrapbook Class (class 1 of 4). By early December, when the last class will be...you'll have a completed 8x8 Year of Memories Scrapbook...and I'll have 4! Whoo hooo.....I am so excited for this class. Not sure who to make one for?....keep it for yourself... or make it for the grandparents...or the family member that lives out of town! You'll be so happy that you did it! A completed scrapbook!!!! How many do you have that are "not completed" or "a work in progress"????? The class starts later in September....contact me fo rmore details!

Another "Cute Christmas" Card!

I have to post fast tonight...the kids are getting goofy...the movie is almost over...gotta get them into bed before the sleepy monster takes over...you know when they get sooooo goofy it's hard to have a "good" good night?

I have been working on my srapbook pages for my Scrapbook Series Class....Oh, I cannot wait to share them! I will finish up the ones I am working on tonight and then I'll post them tomorrow! I haven't done much scrapbooking in two years...cards are much faster when you have little ones! Boy, oh, boy I sure missed scrapbooking! I've still got the hang of it and I am loving using stamps on my pages...you'll see what I mean!

Ok gotta run...movie is over...now off to brush teeth and jamma's on and into bed...No, not me silly, the kids! I'm going to scrap!

On to Christmas!

I made this card last week....I was unsure of this Christmas colour palette when I first saw the Holiday Mini...but once I got the Candy Cane Christmas Specialty DSP (#120809) I was inspired and I love these colours...for sure they are not traditional Christmas colours...I'll have some of that soon!

See those red shiny polka dots? They are red glitter! But glitter that doesn't come off on your hands and gets on your face and then you can't get rid of it!!! Ahhhhh! Glitter! I like glitter just not on me...or the table...or the floor...you know what I mean!

So lots of new Holiday Mini product used on this card...the scallop border is created from a die called Tasteful Trim Bigz XL die (#120893). The Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is called Northern Flurry (#120902) and the small snowflake is from a Decorative Strip die called Northern Frost (#120901).

Oh and that ribbon! The ribbon is Real Red Taffeta! I love the new Taffeta ribbon...well the taffeta ribbon is not new exactly...we've had it for awhile...but now it is available in 10 new colours and 13 colours in total....this Real Red is new to the taffeta ribbon family!!! RIBBON....I LOVE RIBBON!!!

I have been busy tonight...I made 30 3x3 cards and I made 4 scrapbook pages for my upcoming Scrapbooking Series Class. I have all the cards ready for my upcoming card classes...you are gonna love those! We I guess you'd better sign up for the class if you want to see them! Next I gotta get my club projects ready!

Halloween treats!

I love making little Halloween treat bags for Liam's classmates. Well, that's if I remember. Let me explain. Last year I was working alot of hours at my part time job and on the Thursday night when I got home from work I remembered that he needed to have these treat bags for school the next morning. Halloween was on the Saturday night and I for some reason I was thinking that I had another day to get the treat bags ready. So at 10 pm I went down to my studio to make 25 of them. I made these cute little tags and Top Note die bag toppers....then at 11pm I went to the cupboard to get the treats.....and we had none! Jon hadn't gotten any with groceries. So now what? I was so tired. I did consider that the Shoppers's Drug Mart was open 24 hrs and it is just around the corner....oh, I was so tired. So the tired me won. I just could bring myself to go out and get the goodies. I figured he would be getting a ton of goodies at school already and don't they always get too much candy at Halloween anyway. Well, those bag toppers and tags...I still have them. They will come in handy for this year! As you know this will be Summer's first year of school...so I'm thinking that I'm half way there for this years Halloween treats! (Liam never even knew about them...so he was never dissappointed.)

This year we have a new Big Shot Die called the candy wrapper (Holiday Mini) and this die will make "making" the treats bage so much easier!!! Here are a couple I made last week....

I love these little guys!!! I used the Wicked Fun Specialty DSP from the main catalogue. So I will have to make 28 of them for Summer's class. And buy treats to go in these and LIAM's!!!

This one is a little Halloween Gift bag I made too. I was just playing....

Kinda fun, eh!

I received an special bow from Mr. Brown yesterday! A box of ribbons and die storage boxes! The reason why it is so special is because it was $200 of FREE product! I promoted to Consellor with SU last month and I earned this special product bonus as a reward for my promotion! I love ribbon! So I ordered 10 spools of different kinds and colours of ribbon and two of those new die storage boxes in the main catalogue! I love things that help keep me organized! The small die storage box hold 57 sizzlits and embosslits! The largest one holds 10 XL dies or 20 L dies. And they are soooooo nice to look at...chocolate coloured material covering the boxes with label holders! I'm going to go fill them!!

This is the fun card we made as our Make & Take...

This is a fun folded card. I'm not sure if there is a special name for it or not. I posted a Christmas one a little while back. I used the Wicked Cool Stamp Set (#118738 wood mount) in the 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalogue. The belly band around the card to keep it closed is made with Wicked Fun Specialty DSP (#117400) and Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon. I also used the Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#120889) from the New Holiday Mini....if you did not receive one in the mail from me this past week, let me know and I will deliver one to you (if you live in the Sarnia Area!).

I met a great bunch of girls today! I really enjoy doing workshops! I get to demonstrate all the cool new products from Stampin' Up! And you get a fun girls day out!

I have some dates open to schedule your workshop...you can even hold your workshop here in my home!!! All you have to do is get a group of girlfriends together! I'll do the rest!

I also have two new clubs starting in September. In club we get together once and month and make a bunch of fun projects and cards. Spring Cleaning in the late Summer!?!?

I decided to get better organized in my studio. I bought desktop organizer catty and some jars last Saturday when I was in London for our "FUN" meeting. So then I can home and got looking around my studio....well, one thing lead to another and I have moved everything around and cleaned out all those corners of the room where things like to collect and multiply! And now I've been at it for two days and things are still not all tidied yet. I went down there tonight after the kids went to bed...but I got some new DSP in today and I wanted to make a couple of thing! I got distracted by paper....sounds a little silly but if you could see this paper...well, you can, it's on page172 of the Catalogue and it's called "Wicked Cool Specialty" DSP ( #117400). What makes it special"....I'm glad you asked that question....it's FLOCKED! Really nicely FLOCKED! When Stampin' Up! does something they do it right or they don't do it at all! (that's a little bit of another story... I tell you about). First I'll just say that I love my projects and I will take pic's tomorrow...it's really late now...time sure gets away form me when the house is quist and I'm playing with FLOCKED paper...it happens all the time!!!

So the other story. SU anounnced the other day that they will NOT be carrying the punch caddies that are in the catalogue (page 200) due to manufacturing and quality issues....it's unfortunate if you had your eye on these...but I think that it shows how particular SU is about their products and the quality of it. I know someone else that is particular too....well that's what I'm calling it, particular.

So tomorrow I will take lots of pic's to share with you in the coming days. I do have one for you tonight....

Don't you just love him! Oh dear I forgot to put his hat on! Do you love his eyes? I do! This little guy is so stinkin' cute! Do you know how I made him? With a PUNCH! An owl punch! (page 201 #118074) I made 50 of this cutie! Do you want one? (with a witches' hat!) When you place an order I'll slip him in you bag! Friends Never Fade...

This is a card that Alicia Ryckman made as a Convention Swap card...I really love the colours. I would normally put these two colours together...but I really like them! This was a very simple card and fun to make!

The colours are Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait. The stamp set is Friends Never Fade. I used the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder to emboss the Poppy Parade mat piece. The ribbon is Poppy Parade Poly ribbon...love it!!

The kidlets are sleeping and hubby sleeping snoozing on the couch..you know where I'm going!!!

On my weekend away my friend Barb showed me a couple of cards that she knew I'd love and she was right! This is one I made time to duplicate...

Love the colours, love the stamp set...LOVE IT!!!

The colours are Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz, and Early Espresso. The stamp set is Friends Never Fade. The DSP is Greenhouse Gala. I also used Inspired by Nature stamp set for the stems of the flowers.

I had my Thursday night Stamp Club tonight! They are a great group of ladies! I sure enjoy their company!

Liam is sleeping over at Nana and Papa's house tonight and tomorrow night. Summer is going to Baba and Diddo's (Grandma & Grandpa in Ukrainian) tomorrow night for a sleepover there. Jon and I get a date night!! Whoo hoo! I feel like we are just passing by each other and saying "Hi, how's it going? Good. Going good with me too. See you later."

So tomorrow night we are going out for Thai at a little reaturant downtown. Great food! Then I think we might just have a little camp fire, just the two of us....time to caught up.

I'm away all day Saturday at a FUN meeting in London. Oh, I have soooo much fun at these meetings! This is the meeting that I designed all the make & takes for. There are four projects that will make up three classes for the demonstators to use in their businesses, if they choose. I get to demonstrate how the make a couple of these project. I am also demo'ing how to make my award winning strawberries. When I'm doing this there are eight other demonstrators are demo'ing other projects, techniques and products...so I need to have one of what I'm demo'ing for each of those 8 demonstrator because they will be busy and won't get to see my demonstration...you know what I mean. Therefore I have to make eight of my projects. So I made eight baskets of strawberries. Lots of work today getting those ready. I even called in my Mom to help! Thankd God for her! She has been a huge help with cutting and punching and bagging for my clubs these later few months too. Thanks Mom! Love you!

So I see that it's time for me to turn in. I still have some 3D swaps to finish and four more swap cards too. I know that there is something that I am forgetting...hmmmm, maybe some sleep will help me to remember.

Just look at this beautiful ribbon!

I got in some new Marina Mist Satin Ribbon and I couldn't wait to use it! I just love how rich and beautiful it looks. This is a card I made on the weekend. It was inspired by a swap card I received at Convention. I'm sorry I don't have the name of the original designer. I will look it up for you later.

I used Marina Mist, Early Espresso, Very Vanilla and Pear Pizzazz cardstock and Greenhouse Gala DSP. I used the beautiful Marina Mist Satin Ribbon (#119751 $12.25). I used the Vintage Wallpaper Impression Folder to emboss the Pear Pizzazz piece. I used the Charming stamp set and the sentiment is the Hostess Level 1 stamp set call Afterthoughts. I used a maker to colour only the Thanks part of the sentiment. The whole stamp says "Thanks i love being spoiled". I made a duplicate of this card with the entire sentiment for our Hostess of the weekend for having us at her cottage. I had everyone sign the card. Boy did she spoil us.

What a Wonderful weekend!

Oh I was right! I was so spoiled!!! My weekend at Windswept (my up-up-uplines' cottage in Port Lambton)was incredible! No cooking, no cleaning, no responsibility! I got so much accomplished! I made about 74 cards! Not all different though! I made some batches of the same card and then a few individual cards. But that was alot and it was alot of fun!

So one I want to share with you today is a beautiful card...I am not sured who the original designer was (sorry...I heard that it was a file folder then made into a card).

I love this card. I love the colours!

The card base is Whisper White cardstock. I embossed snowflakes in a Bashful Blue cardstock mat using the Northern Flurry Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I added a small strip of Sahara Sand cardstock on the bottom and then two pieces of Pear Pizzazz cardstock that were punched with the Scallop Border punch. The ribbon is Pear Pizzazz...so soft, I love this ribbon...I've used a whole roll of it already!!! The stamp set I used is called Seasonal Sentiments. I plan to make some more of these when my new ribbon order comes in!!!

I have pic's of more cards to share with you this week.

I have just finished a batch of 50 Halloween cards...I had to make 100 eyes! Can you guess what for? Now I'm off to finish off some 3D swaps for a FUN meeting I'll be attending on Saturday!

I am so spoiled...

I get to go away again! I have been invited by one of my up-uplines to her vacation home on the St.Clair River for a relaxing and fun filled weekend. She has tons of things planned if we want to partake in the activities or we are welcome to relax and enjoy the quiet time. I'm looking forward to getting some stamping done. The Snow Flakes are called Northern Frost Decorative Stip die for the Big Shot! I love snow flakes!!

The stamp is from the Tags till Christmas stamp set....every stamp coordinates with a PUNCH!!! And there are new punches in the Holiday Mini!

I smooched the snowflakes with Gold Foil and Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, and the bag with Gold Foil and Log Cabin Smooch Spritz.

Summer's appointment went well today. She is doing much better with her stuttering but there is more to it than that. She is talking way to fast and we need to slow down her speech so that she can pronounce words properly. So I have some work to do with her. Most importantly she needs to learn to say "La". She can't do it. That is the problem with most of her words is the "L". She cannot form that with her tongue. So we will practice in the mirror together. She is very willing to pratice this too! We'll see how it goes.

I'm thinking I might just go back down to my studio and create something more!

Mr. Brown came today with a box of "Christmas" presents for me!!!

Really, he did! The box is full of Christmas stamps and ribbon and DSP and buttons and GLITTER! Yes, I am excited about glitter...I am not usually a fan of glitter at all!! But this glitter is Glass Glitter and it is supposed to be not-so-messy! I'll let you know how that works out. I'm hoping that I will get to play with my new stuff tomorrow...hoping and praying. Did I mention FABRIC? yes, Stampin' Up! is making fabric....oh, I am sooooooo excited about the fabric.

Tomorrow Summer has an appointment with the speech pathologist. She stutters. Her speech has been so good lately. But there are some problems with her phonics, for example she'll say "Gog" instead of Dog and "Yiam" instead of Liam. Things like that. So tomorrow they are going to do some therapy with her to help her with this. She needs the help so that when she is in JK in September her peers and teacher can understand her. I've had to do a lot of translating for her to others...even her grandparents. So hopefully she enjoys this visit and it helps her.

Did somebody say school? I just have to say that, as terrible as this may sound, I can't wait for the kids to go to school. I know, I'm a terrible Mom. I feel like it....but I also know that I am not the OLNY one that feels this way. The kids won't stop arguing with each other! They are driving me CRAZY!!! Really CRAZY!!! They cannot be in the same room together without arguing. I'm trying to keep them busy but one moment of inactivity....and "MOM, she's touching me!" and "MOM, he's yelling at me!" because she stuck her foot in his face and now wonders why he is yelling at her to stop! OMGoodness....I want them both to stop!!! I love my kidlets, don't get me wrong....love them to pieces...just a little stressed with the constant arguing. So we had a heart to heart tonight and a big long time out in their rooms. I think the HEARD my words. Not because I yelled them, but because I spoke them softly with tears in my eyes..."Mommy can't take anymore. You need to treat your sister with love, you need to respect what I say, you need to be the nice, sweet, loving boy that I know you are." And for Summer...well, she's four. I can't use too many words with her or I lose her. So no candy for Summer...that's her currency. "No candy until you behave and be nice to your brother and listen to what Mommy says." Gold stars for both when I catch them being nice to each other and listening to me. Gold stars that they can cash in on Friday nights, candy for Summer and $ for Liam...that's his currency...cash for toys. So pray for me that I survive another day of Summer holidays. Pray for strength and patience for me. Because I really truly need it. I'm not the only one, right?!

Thanks for letting me vent...I do feel better now. Stamping would be good for me. I need to stamp...stamping makes everything better right? That's why we do it! So tomorrow I will try to stamp...after the appointment and sometime before the day is over. I will share what I make. Thank you for stopping in and lending me your ear. I really do appreciate it.

Hubby's away....kids are keeping me busy....have to work at my real job the Sunday and Monday...have to get ready for club on Tuesday....September is coming....not that I'm wishing the Summer away....I'll hopefully be less bust then. Working so hard on some secret projects...

I have been very busy stampin! I cannot show you though. I'm sorry. I've done sooooo much stampin' and watercolouring that my hand husts, my back and neck hurt....I even had to stop early last night because I hurt. A little ibuprophen and a good night's sleep really helped! So I'll be back at it today.

I have lots of other ideas rolling around in my head....just dyin' to get them made! Maybe I can squeeze one in today! If the kids let me!

I will try to be back later with a card for you!

Icky Sticky!!!

Our family camp out was great! The kids were so good and we all had so much fun! These are the marshmallows I promised you a picture of...

Liam dissappointed me...I thought he'd have gotten a whole lot messier!

Summer had some issues though...you know when you roast a marshmallow the outside is toasty and brown then when you take a bite the inside pushes out the backside....well, that's what happened to her. Then it ended up on the ground, then she stepped in it and then there was this stringy marshmallowy mess! Then Liam went into the house to get washed up and left a stick mess on the door nob! Oh what fun! Thanks Mom for the Giant marshmallows! I owe you one!

We washed up and put out the campfire and went into the tent to play games...cause the kids just really want to play in the tent! So we played Candyland...Summer's favorite. Then some UNO for Liam. Finally all tucking into bed. Liam and I shared an air mattress...we waited until Daddy and Summer went to sleep then whispered stories to each other. In the night he kept creeping onto my side of the bed...once I nudged him and he said "That's my jet pack." I wonder what kind of wonderful things he was dreaming about.

Everyone was up at 3:30am to go in for a potty break...then took awhile to get back to sleep!

If the weather clears up the kids and I will camp out again tonight...poor Jon has to work OT on

Sunday and Monday : ( I think he'll be happy to have the bed and the house all to himself!

I have been in my studio all day working on some beautiful projects but I cannot share these with you yet. I'm sorry...they are marked private and confidential! Backyard camp out!

So finally we have a nice night and the time to have a family backyard camp out! The tent is up! Not an easy job. It only took us an hour. And the kids were great! Very helpful.

And for this special occasion I made home made pizza...a family favorite. I make the pizza dough from scratch...but I use the bread maker to kneed the dough. Liam and Summer both helped roll out the dough.

My handsom guy! He was so happy to be able to do the rolling...I'm kinda a control freak...yes, I admit it. I don't like the extra mess that the kids can sometimes make...he did a great job and there was no extra mess.

My hands were full of flour when Summer took her turn so I missed getting the pic.

She got bored fast and went to finish watching her movie...

Liam always has this really cheesy smile when I take his picture...so I have to get him to say funny words so that he has a sort of normal expression on his face...in his pic he said "pizza, pizza"!

I had Summer said pickles and peanut butter! She thought that was very funny.

Well, they are starting to fill the tent with lots of stuff and I'm feeling like I better go take control of that situation before they have their whole rooms put into it!!

Oh and my Mom was in the USA for a few days and she brought back the BIGGEST marshmallows ever! It's like three marshmallows in one! We are going to roast those tonight and try to make smores out of them. I think the kids will need a bath before bed! Remember the Marshmallow Man from Ghostbuster? I think Liam will look like that...he gets soooooo messy from one normal sized marshmallow. I'll share that pic with you tomorrow.

Okay I'm going now...wish me luck tonight! This should be interesting!

I never thought I'd see you again!

I'm talking to my box...my flower box! I entered it into a SU contest and it didn't win but I found it hanging there amoung this display of beautiful paper crafted things! I really never thought I'd see it again! I was soooooo tempted to bring it home...but I cannot...it belongs to SU now and that would be stealing!

Bye flower box...I will miss you! I know that I can make another...someday! Wait a minute I don't even have that paper anymore...sniff, sniff! I'll be okay!

I had a downline meeting tonight...fun! Great group of frineds! I gave each of them goodies from Momento Mall! So fun!

I'd better get to bed...the kids and I are off to my in-laws for some swimming and BBQ lunch with visiting family!

My Convention Swap...

Shelli!!!

At Convention during our Flower Power party I got the chance to have my picture taken with Shelli and her husband, Sterling....so cool! They were talking when I first came up to them...she told me that Sterling was just telling her that he liked the mustache and sideburns and wondered if he should keep them.

I gave her one of my swap cards and she took a bit of time to really look at it!

It is really nice that she takes the time to meet the demonstrators...even if only for a few minutes.

This one is of Alicia Ryckman and I doing our Stage March for achieving Cruise! Yep, I did it, I achieved the Alaskan Cruise...it's in May 2011. And I could not have done it without each and every one of my customers! So Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

Just a little nervous!

But so exciting! After seeing how Stampin' Up! does up an event like this I cannot wait to go on that Cruise! And I'm hoping to go to Leadership in January! Hoping my upline Mary Beth will join me! Hint hint ; )

Sniff, sniff...I'm home...

I made it home from Convention safe and sound...long day yesterday. Sad to leave...I had so much fun! But sooooooooooo happy to be home to see my family. I missed the kids so much that I woke them up to hug and kiss them! Jon is happy I'm back too! He kept the kids busy and they were very good for him. And only a few tears at night for Mommy. I am so lucky to have this man as my best friend and husband!!! He took the week off to be with the kiddies so that I could go away!

Convention...can I say WOW!!! Stampin' Up! is so amazing. They did a fantastic job!!! 2800 demonstrators attended! The SU Staff was wonderful and friendly and warm and inviting! I had a fantastic job! There was a 60's themed party, a game show, PRIZE PATROL (where they pull out a patterned bracelet and if it matched yours...you win a prize!!! I won yesterday before we left!!!) and Momento Mall and Shelli! I had my picture taken with her and her husband...she was so sweet and kind! So much fun!!!!!!! I think that everyone that loves SU should become a demo just to be able to experience Convention! So if you have ever thought about becoming a demonstrator now really is the time...for a million reasons...but SU added an even better reason to do it now...if you want to know more.....I'll tell you, but you have to contact me!

I have about 900 pic's of Convention...I'm just guessing but I wouldn't be surprized! I'll post some this week.

I met so many wonderful demonstrators and made a few new friends...I'd like to say hi to...Kelly N from SLC (can't wait to see you!!!) , Melba B from New Jersey, and Alex H from RC and lots more that I couldn't remember their names :(

Well, my mind is swimming with ideas! Can't wait to get some creating done! I get to hang with the family tomorrow and my friend is coming for coffee!! Can't wait...

Today's the day!!! I leave in 3 hours to go to Convention! I'm not really excited yet. I will be. I have to get through the good-bye's with Liam and Summer...there goes my tummy again....deep breathe in...and let it out slowly. I'm ok...for a few minutes anyway.

Here is a simply beautiful card for you today...

I won't be bringing my laptop to Convention...I have 4 days with out kids and I'm looking forward to NOT being loaded down with a ton of things...so the laptop stays...I may experience some withdrawl though!

Well, I have to sign off, it's family camp out night in the living room. We were supposed to set up our new 10 man, two room tent to camp in but Jon thought it was supposed to thunderstorm. Not to mention the two hours it will take to set up the tent! So the living room it is!

Here is a card we made in all my clubs this month! I love this flower...and so easy to make. Sorry the paper is retired. When I was prepping for my clubs this paper was still current!

Our theme this month was flowers. We made three cards with paper flowers. We also used the Hostess Level 1 Because I care on two other cards...one we coloured with blender pens on Whisper White paper and the other we used Aqua Painters on Watercolour paper. I'll post those another time...still have to take pic's of them.....I didn't post them before now because I didn't want to spoil the fun for my club members!

I made was able to make four cards last night using some new products! I will share those over then next couple of days!

I'm off to a meeting tomorrow night, Saturday night I have a hair appointment...gotta get my roots coloured for Convention...I get to do a stage walk or two or three! Later Saturday night the kids and Jon and I are having bonfire and a camp out in the back yard....Sunday or Monday BBQ at Mom's with my brother and niece and nephews! (I get to cuddle a baby!!! Oh how I love babies!!!) And then Tueday is the BIG DAY! I'm off to Convention! Oh, I get butterflies in my tummy everytime I think about it. Good or bad...not sure. I get a little anxious about flying, I'm excited for this adventure....but mostly I think because I have to leave my kiddies and my Hubby. I've never traveled without my husband. And I can't bare the thought of leaving my sweeties for five whole nights. I don;t get to kiss them good night and tuck them into their beds. I won't get their wonderful good morning hugs. Ok, I have to stop now. I'm feeling more than butterflies now.

An Elegant Card...

I got this new set yesterday and couldn't wait to make a card with it. The stamp set is called Always Elegant. I added on of SU's newest and coolest embellishments, Basic Pearls. I love them! There are some very tiny pearls in this package...I've never seen pearls this small before! There are three different sizes and three strips of pearls to use as borders....way cool! I plan to have lots of these on hand! We now carry Basic Rhinestones too....check them out on page 188 of the Idea Book and Catalogue (IBC).

I used lots of pearls...who could resist...they are perfect for dressing up this image!

I also used the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder. My colours are Marina Mist and Early Espresso.

I have to get some work done on my convention swaps...the countdown is on...6 more sleeps! Ahhhhhh! I'm so excited! SU gave us a sneak peek of something that will be available for us to purchase a convention....a scrappin' tote...you know, to carry all your scrappin' supplies with you we you are off scrappin'....although I don't go OUT to scrap much! The tote is made with fabric in the design of SU Greenhouse Gala DSP (Designer Series Paper)....soooooo cute! I'll be sure to share it with you when I come home!

I want to share my first Christmas Card with you!

So it's my first Christmas Card of the season...I know you are still thinking Summer...heat and humidity and thunderstorms! I'm thinking that if it's time for me to start making Christmas cards then it must be time to get the Christmas gift shopping started so that I don't leave it until the last minute again!!!

So onto my card...this one is tricky....it is an interactive card for sure! I hope that you can figure it out from the pictures. (One of these days I'll figure out how to make a video!). I saw it today Stampin' Connection (sorry SU demo's site only! Trust me...having access to this website is alone worth signing up to be a demo for!!!) Inspired by France Martin....

The stamp set is called Gifted...love this set...it makes a bunch of Chritmas tags...always need those! The colours are my new Christmas favorites Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive and Very Vanilla.

Can you figure it out? I think it was called a Screen Door card. I didn't finish stamping the inside yet...waiting for more stamps! Yes, I need more! Actually, tomorrow Mr. Brown is bringing me a box of presents!!!!

Oh, I hope that he comes early! New ribbon, new DSP, new stamps, new..."Oh Miss Gosh" (as my daughter would say instead of Oh My Gosh) I cannot remember all that I ordered! Ohhhhhhh, I can't wait....you know it is like Christmas, getting a box of presents!

Can you believe I'm working on Christmas Projects already?

I love Christmas time...and I think it should last much longer then it does! In August I always start working on Christmas cards and projects. I have been asked to design the make & takes for an up, up, upline of mine, Alicia. She is planning a BIG ALL DAY meeting in August and we are doing a Christmas theme! My fav! I have been planning these projects for a little while now...mostly on paper and in my head. So last night and today I have been able to make the projects...and they have turned out sooooo good. I don't have the stamp set or the DSP we'll be using yet! So I've made most of the projects and I will add those finishing touches next week! On Friday night I get to share them with Alicia! Oh, I hope she likes them...and doesn't think that they are too much work! I told her that I have a hard time with "simple"...I like the little details...and when I get working away on something I lose track of time...so I think that the project that I'm making at the time is simple and Quick but then when someone else tries to duplicate it ...we'll it takes a little more time. But I have been taking step by step pictures to go along with the projects and writing up the directions. Sorry to tease you because I cannot show you the projects just yet.

But I do have a card for you today...I was inspired by Sharon Field....

The DSP (Designer Series Paper) is from Greenhouse Gala. The colours are Baja Breeze Early Espresso and Whisper White cardstock. The butterfly was stamped on Tangerine Tango CS (cardstock) with Basic Black Craft Ink and embossed with Clear embossing powder. Then I coloured in some places ont he butterfly with a white gel pen.

I would like to make this same card with different colours...maybe today!

Summer and I got to have a "Girls Night" last night...wanna know what we did? We watched Barbie's Fairytopia and ate Oreo cookies with milk and then we ate some pop corn and had some chocolate milk with that! We snuggled on the couch! It was fun...just what we needed.

The boys went down to the park for Bayfest....Rush was playing. Jon really likes them and has been playing their music for Liam over the last couple of years...so Liam knows some of their songs too. They found a place outside of the concert (Liam is too young, in our opinion, to go inside...too many people!) where they could see the big screen and hear the music. Jon said that Liam was so excited...his first concert...and doing it with Dad! Liam wants to go back tonight but Jon doesn't like who's playing. So Liam went off to Papa's tonight for a sleepover!

Miss Summer will be sleeping over with me, in my bed...we have never done this before...we usually do camp-outs in the living room, where she'll sleep on the floor and I on the couch...but she wants to snuggle with me in my bed....so we are kicking Daddy out of his bed and he can sleep in the couch or in Liam's bed! Tee hee! I hope that Summer is not a puncher or kicker in her sleep. Liam is. Last Summertime...(see how I have to distinguish between Summer, my daughter and Summer the season!!!)...we went camping in a tent and Liam punched me right in the check in his sleep...he's a maniac when he sleeps...he fell out of his bed just last night...poor little guy. He's a go'er...never stops...never stops talking either...even talks in his sleep!

Ok, enough about them. I can go on and on....I love them so much!

I'm still here. Here trying to beat the heat with my kids. Wow, it's HOT!! Right now it is storming. Oh, wait I gotta check the chicken...don't go anywhere I'll be right back..........Ok, I 'm back and the chicken has been checked...it's doing ok.

I'm finding the days busier then ever having Liam home from school...at times I find myself trying hard to keep them apart...they like to argue these days! Well, one minute they are argueing then I sent them for timeouts in their bedrooms to separate them...next thing I know one of them is in the other's room tee hee'ing and getting along because they think that they are getting away with something...but hey, as long as they are getting along...they can think that!

Oh I have to check the chicken again.............good thing I checked he wasn't doing so good!

This card was made using the Vintage Wall Embossing Folder and the Hostess Level 1 stamp set Because I care. I used Whisper White and Baja Breeze cardstock and Early Espresso classic ink.

I am hoping with all my heart that I can get some time in my studio tonight!!!

My Digital Studio

I don't have my camera with me today, so I can't take pic's of anything I've made. So instead I went looking for projects I've made already and have a picture of...no luck. When I'm taking pictures of the kids I always have a scrapbooking in mind. I found these pictures of Summer and thought...I could make a digital scrapbook page to share with you...and I don't need my camera. I made this page in 15 min. So quick and easy-peasy!!

I need to do more of these!!! I have lots of photos like these, perfect for scraping photo's, from little photo sessions... maybe on those nights when the kids have worn me out so much that I'm too tired to even go down to my studio, I can scrap these pages on my laptop.

The New Catalogue is LIVE!!! That' means you can order form it now!! I placed my first order yesterday...I have to remind myself that the catalogue is good for 1 whole year! Pace myself!!! And I'm having a hard time falling asleep at night with all the ideas swirling around in my head! I think my hubby's gonna ask me to sleep on the couch tonight!

We are going swimming today at my in-laws...they were away for a couple of weeks and decided not to open the pool until they came home...so now the pool in ready...but very cold!!! They kids are in for a surprize there!

Happy Canada Day!!!

Oh Canada! Oh what fun! We enjoyed the parade this morning...beautiful weather for it! We went down to the beach. The kids had fun...we should have thought to bring bathing suits! Usually we leave right after the parade to get Summer down for a nap but we stayed longer at the park and checked out the festivities. She is napping now though. We are going to see the fireworks tonight and that makes for a very last night and one grumpy girl...without the nap. So we'll give her anothe 45 mins or so and then we are off to a BBQ with friends! Can't wait!

So let me see....what do I have to share with you today...I'm thinking this one!

Mostly because I don't have it any more. They keep all of the entries. It was a lot of work.

Someday I'll make another. Maybe I will see it at Convention!!! They have a ton of diaplays there...I've seen pic's. I will take another pic's of it if it's on display!

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY!!!!!

The New 2010/2011 Idea Book and Catalogue goes live tomorrow!!! I am so excited....new ribbon and DSP and stamps...oh my! What to pick, what to pick...I want it all! If you don' have you new catalogue yet please feel free to stop in and get one.

We will be out tomorrow though. It is CANADA DAY!!! We will be gone for the day doing all the fun stuff like the Parade and then a BBQ with friends and then the Fireworks at night. The kiddies are so excited for those fireworks! Summer especially! She's 4 now...she takes things in and is so excited by them!

I will be placing an order on Friday by 2pm. I will have a gift for all those who have orders to go in...email me or call me by 2pm on Friday.

On to the card. Here is another that I made to go in a box set with the one I posted yesterday.

I intended to make a couple more...but haven't found the time...Summertime is here and the kiddies need entertaining!!

Second Day of Summer not so bad!!

Well, maybe the kids just needed one day to adjust to Summer vacation. Liam said to me this morning "Mom, I think today is going to be a good day." And it was. The kids played so good together. My prayers were answered...for one day at least. They sure do make a mess of the house though when they are getting along. Oh well, I don't mind cleaning it as long as they had fun.

My Catalogue Party went great tonight! We had fun!

Here is a card I made using the Artistic Etching stamp set...

The colour combo is Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla. The DSP is called Newsprint!

I'll have another card for you using this same set tomorrow!

I just wanted to take a moment to share with you that I customer and friend of mine, Marian Kloske, has lost her battle with cancer last night. Sadly, I did not get the chance to know her well, as she winters in Arizona. We we supposed to get together when she arrived back home in April...but was not doing well by then.

One of my downlines was close to her and she said about Marian in an email to me this evening..."She was such a smart, talented, wonderful cook and all round nice person. She fought the battle hard and always had a positive outlook." Marian was also a quilter and worked at a local quilting store in the past few years

I know that she will be missed by her friends and family. So to my customers and friends that knew Marian well, I'm very sorry for your loss.

Please say a prayer for Marian and her family.

Time is running out for the Last Chance Stamps and Accessories!

Just to let you know that time is almost up to get your last order in for the retiring items on the last chance list!

OMGoodness...I survived the day...the first day of Summer Vacation! It was a tough one, I'll tell you. Summer needs time to adjust to sharing Mommy again and Liam needs time to adjust to learning how to entertain himself. He is used to being at school where everything is planned out for him...and today he needed me to tell him what to do for fun. At 1pm today his buddy called and made a plan to come over. Then Liam was having the time of his life...minus his little sister wanting to get in on the fun. Poor Summer. She is having nap withdrawls...we are trying to get her ready for FULL TIME JK in the fall....and in case you didn't already know this I am opposed to this! She's too little to be at school everyday all day. So right now she is skipping her nap for two days then napping on the third day. She's doing ok. She actually falls asleep 5 min after we tuck her in. But then she's up at 6:30 in the morning! Thankfully she is not too grumpy about it all. That's my girl...easy going! I just feel like "they" are taking her away from me two years earlier then they were supposed to. Liam just started full time this past year. I'm stuggling. Sniff. Ok, moving on.

Now on to the FUN! I am having a New Catalogue Party tomorrow night! I hope that you'll come. I wanted to see what will be making and what you'll be missing out on if you don't come! Plus we'll be having ice cream and homemade cookies!! You know you want to!

Teachers Gift...

I was so excited to share this gift with Liam's teacher I couldn't wait until Friday to give it to her. So I finished up a couple of little things on it today and packaged it up the Stampin' Up! way...with a big pretty ribbon bow!!! She was so pleased when she saw it!

This card is for his teacher.

There are 12 of this Thank You card for her to give to her friends and family.

These are her wedding colours, Old Olive, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla. I used the Elements of Style stamp set. The "Thank you" comes from the Pedaling Past Stamp set. I did add some half-backed pearls to all the cards in the box. I see I took this pic before I added them. Tee hee.

She is getting married on July 24, and today Liam and his classmates received their invitations to her wedding. Unfortunately, I'll be unable to go because I'll be at Convention. Maybe Jon will take the kids. I know Liam would love to go. He really cares about his teacher. She has been very sweet to him. Speacking of Liam, he received his report card yesterday....he'll be moving on to grade two in the fall! Not that we had any doubts, we are just very proud of him. He improved in all subjects, which is what they are supposed to be doing. Our little man even earned three A-'s!! Go Liam! One proud Momma here!!

I have more cards on the go today. Mr. Brown brought one of my new stamp sets today...so I've been playing with it. It's called "Friends Never Fade". True friends don't!...the ones that do fade...we'll they weren't very goods friends anyway.

So I'm off to get creative!! Wish me luck!

The Best Day!!

Yesterday I went with Liam on a class trip to the Children's Museum in London. So much fun! It is so amazing to see things through his eyes. There was so much to explore...he ran from here to there and back again! I had a group of four boys, 2 grade 1's and 2 grade 2's. Boy the sure have energy! Two of the boys in the group are brothers and their Dad was a chaperone with me as well. We were the only group to have two chaperones....and the only group with four boys!!! And boy did we need to two of us to keep up with these boys!!! Most of the pic's I took had other kiddies in the pic's and I cannot share them with out permission...but I was able to get a couple of Liam alone...I'd like to share with you...

There was three floors of things to see. But way too many stairs!

I just love getting to spend the day with him alone...minus the 100 other kiddies around! I mean without Summer...no offense to her, but with two there is not alot of one on one time with him. I love to see how he interacts with his teacher and his classmates. He is very well mannered when speaking to others...I love that!

I will be back later to share a card...I just have to go and make one...or retake pic's of some. The SD card was full and I had to upload them to the main computer and deleted them off the SD card...so now I'll retake some pic's of cards to share with you.

I spent Sunday making a gift for Liam's teacher..it turned out great! I think she's going to love it! But the other day I shared my blog address with her and I don't want to ruin her surprize....so I'll take pic's of it today and share those on Friday.

Great Night last night!!!

Wow! I'm very impressed with the man that is the Head of SU Canada! He is a very smart man and I happy that he is looking out for the Canadian Demonstrator...we are in very good hands! He is very interested in what we as demonstrators have to say, our suggestions for making SU Canada better for all demos. I learned lots! I am very honoured to have been invited to attend this small and intimate dinner meeting. It will be interesting to see in the future what changes comes from these small group meetings he has been holding. One important thing that I learned is that we as Canadians need to use our Suggestion Box for all our ideas and requests. This man personally reads them and makes certain the right person at SU Salt Lake get that information! So fellow demo's I urge you to use this business tool!

Well, it's Saturday night and I am signing off to finish watching a movie and have a glass of wine with my hubby. Poor guy has to work half a day tomorrow...on Father's Day.
